It gives me great peace of mind that they are happy and settled together and meeting new doggie friends and getting lots of fresh air and exercise. To be able to see them on the webcam is also a comfort

Could not recommend both the Country Club and Hotel at Elmtree enough. FANTASTIC

"Attentive to dogs"

This was Millie’s first stay at Elmtree and indeed her first overnight stay away from home. I was apprehensive about leaving her as I had no previous experience of how she would cope. I needn’t have worried, the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Millie was taken to the kennels and didn’t look back. I enjoyed my time away without any worries or concerns on Millie welfare.
Upon collecting Millie I was updated on her stay making me feel that the staff had plenty of interaction with her. She obviously had lots of fun playing with other dogs which she enjoys. I would recommend Elmtree and have myself made a further booking.

"Don’t use this place"

Don’t use this place. The communication is terrible. The receptionist is rude. We made it VERY clear that my dogs have health issues and we were very thorough with regards to their medication. They not only didn’t give our dogs the correct medication, they also didn’t give them toys as requested, didn’t give us the medicine back when we collected the dogs and didn’t reply to our emails and phone calls. It’s such a shame. My dog is very old and going off her medication is very dangerous for her, they have put her life and health in danger. Shame on you elm tree.

UPDATE: today I was advised by trustpilot that Elmtree is trying to say my email is a lie and get it taken down. I was asked to supply evidence, which I have provided to Elmtree in an email. Rather than Elmtree calling me to try and resolve this matter, they have decided to make me seem like a liar. Here is what my email to trustpilot said:

My dogs stayed at Elmtree 1-4 June 2023. They never handed us the medicine back and then when we called [the next day] to see if someone could bring it to us (we live 3 hours away round trip and do not own a car), the woman was very rude. When they did bring it back we saw that they only used 1 pill out of the two different types of medicine we provided. Two types of pills needed to be given daily at morning and night, so using 1 pill is clear they did not give the medicine correctly.

They said they had extra toys and they would put them in the dog's room. Our dogs are blind so they don't really play with toys, but we had never left them in a kennel before and wanted to make them as comfortable as possible. The rooms were equipped with webcams, so we could see that they did not give them toys like they said they would.

I attach the email where we explained the dog's ailments [and that they need daily medicine].
I also attach the email outlining specific instructions regarding the medicine.
I also attach an email proving our dogs were there, as they supplied webcam ID so we could see they never gave them the toys.
I also attach a screenshot showing I made a call to Elmtree on Monday 5th June (our dogs only stayed there until Sunday the 4th). On Monday I had to call to get the medicine, why else would I spend 8 minutes on the phone with them AFTER my dog's stayed at the facility?

I do not have a picture of the pill pack, because I did not think I would have to prove such nonsense. They know very well their driver returned the pills to us on Monday 5th June. We've obviously been giving the dogs the pills, as per the vet's instruction, so if I took a photo now it would not make sense.

UPDATE: I am confused why the Elmtree is refusing to accept the fact that when our medicine was returned to us, it was clear only one pill was missing from a brand new pack. We got the pack the day before we dropped our dogs off. Happy to provide evidence of a receipt of the brand new pack if needed, which will show we purchased it around 7pm the day before we dropped it off.

Yes, the person forgot to give us our medicine, which would be an honest mistake normally. However it was clear the reason she forgot was because it wasn't being used. And the lack of urgency and apology, and general rudeness, when we tried to get Elmtree to deliver it back to us was appalling.

"The most caring, accommodating pet boarding"

Elmtree is our one and only go to for our 3 dogs. My husband and I had to leave London unexpectedly due to family reasons for extended periods, and we sent our 3 boys here for weeks at a time. All throughout, we had ZERO worries because we know that the staff truly love them. One of our dogs Toby is a senior Labrador and when his hips acted up in cold and rainy weather, Elmtree reached out to my husband immediately with solutions on how to make Toby more comfortable, even with suggestions from their vet for long term treatment we could pursue, which proved to us how much they really care. We are huge fans and couldn't recommend Elmtree more. Shout out to Angie and Maria who continuously extended themselves, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs when our travel plans kept changing last minute.

"Great service, happy dog, quick responses, THANK YOU!"

Elmtree Country Club has taken care of our Sammy three times now, and each time has been amazing. His recent stay of 2 weeks was awesome, he came home happy and smiling. And smelling great from a complimentary bath, and his bedding smelt equally fabulous. Leah from Eltree was incredible, she sent me photos and videos regularly, which put my mind at rest as we have not been apart from Sammy since prior to the pandemic. Given we were abroad, I was very concerned, however, we could watch him via the webcam which is super high tech and such a great way to provide reassurance. All my mommy worries were totally unnecessary, as I could see in the videos that he was playing happily with the other dogs, and loved the carers. Sammie was also amazing and took great care of our Sammy too. The immediate responses to messages and sending of pics and videos were amazing. In my opinion, Elmtree Country Club is a very professional establishment and provides an awesome service, THANK YOU ELMTREE!!

"Just wanted to say a big thank you to…"

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff at Elmtree for looking after my dog Belle so well on her first kennel stay.
I was naturally nervous but the professional and caring staff put me at ease and took great care of Belle- they sent regular photos of her playing and socialising with the other dogs.
She returned home happy and sweet smelling after a complimentary wash and groom.
I shall certainly book Belle in again if I have future events or holidays!

My collies just came back from three nights/four days at Elmtree. So relaxed, happy and just their normal selves. I was so worried but the staff are fantastically responsive and kind, to me and the dogs. They understood all my special requests (about collars, toys, food etc) and obviously just love looking after dogs. My dogs were able to go out off lead with the other dogs in a safe environment and the webcam made me feel so much better.
The staff are so well organised, professional and responsive and obviously enjoy their job. Really excellent. Thank you. The dogs will be back next time.

We were so worried about leaving our dog Boston for the first time and had not been happy with other kennels we had looked at. We are so pleased we picked the Elmtree Country club. The staff genuinely care for the animals they look after, the individual rooms ( with raised bed, although they are happy for you to bring your own as well as favourite toys and treats etc, all of which are returned) and outside area were of a high quality, the number and lengths of walks off the lead gave our highly active dog the exercise she needed playing with other dogs, and the web cam was a godsend in the first few days so we could check up to see if Boston was OK. This meant we could enjoy our holiday without worrying about our dog. We will definitely be taking our dog back whenever we go away again. Although she was pleased to see us it was obvious that she had also had a 'great holiday' herself. Although more expensive than the other kennels we looked at Elmtree was worth every penny.

Just picked my 2 year old miniature schnauzer Frank up from Elmtree. He was there for 11 nights. It’s the first time we have ever left him so was very anxious.
I can’t rate Elmtree highly enough and would happily recommend them!
Frank had the best time, he loved playing with the other dogs.
All the staff were lovely and I received reply’s to my countless emails asking how Frank was
He has come back smelling amazing after his wash and blow dry 😂

"This is the second time I’ve used Elmtree and I’m so glad I found it"

This is the second time I’ve used Elmtree for my dog Bea and I’m so pleased that I have found this place. I didn’t take the webcam offer this time but Bea was obviously happy and not stressed by her stay. It’s so reassuring to hear the staff talking about her with so much affection; they clearly saw her as the big softy that she is. She was also very clean (she’s white) as she’d had her completentary bath! I’ll look to book Elmtree again in future for Bea
