My son was diagnosed with diabetes in 2019 at the age of 19 just as he was making his way in the world. He works heavy construction running heavy equipment and is gone most of the summer to remote locations. We needed a solution for keeping his pens cool on the job site. Refrigerators and air conditioning are not alway available. His first year, we had spoilage of 2 pens and had to pay out of pocket for them, get them called to a near by pharmacy so he could pick them up and hope they were open. After trying to find something that would be practical for him to use, I stumbled across the pen tops on Amazon. What a life saver these have been. He has not had a spoiled pen since he has been using them. They are used in some tough conditions at times and they have held up well. I highly recommend them. I know they are costly but for us it was cheaper than have to buy pens out of our own pocket.
