"Quick, good communication, and all in all very professional"

Well, it's the classic problem : a Compact flash card fails inside the camera, your heart misses a beat but quickly you think you'll be able to mount it and recover the images yourself later, right?... But then no matter what you try, it's unreadable, and slowly you come to the realization that your images are lost forever.

I've kept my defunct card for 11 years, I didn't think at first that anyone could recover the photos, as most probably, what would be needed is to remove the memory chip and put it in a functioning compatible card and who does that? Recoverfab, actually.

After all those years, I didn't have much hope but I thought it was worth a shot. And they have been able to recover 100% and sent the previews!

Der Service war sehr schnell. Ich habe Samstag eine Anfrage gestellt und die SD Karte versendet. Dienstag habe ich eine E-Mail erhalten, das mein Karte angekommen ist und heute am Donnerstag habe ich schon einen Screenshot meiner Daten bekommen. Es konnten 100% meiner Daten gerettet werden. Einfach super.

"The only way to recover data from an unreadable CF card!"

It's a horrible sinking feeling; you've been out in the field all day, you've put time and effort into taking hundreds of photos, most of which can never be recreated. Then suddenly, out of the blue and without warning you have an error message on your camera display, "Compact Flash card in slot 1 is not accessible".

I've been a photographer for many, many years and never seen this problem before. Surely a quick reboot will work? Nope. Surely putting the card into a different camera will work? Nope. Surely putting it into my pc will work? Nope. Formatting it? Nope. Paying for multiple (5 star reviewed) recovery software/apps? Nope. Asking Dave on Reddit for advice? Nope. (But it's an expensive, quality brand, high speed, compact flash card Dave, surely it can't just die? Dave? Dave? Aaaaarrghhhh!!!)

That's right, even the best cards, in the best cameras can fail without warning and no recovery software will bring the data back. Don't even waste your time researching the recovery tools and please don't waste any cash on them. If your camera/pc won't even recognize the card, those photos and memories are gone forever unless you have the know how and equipment to physically remove the memory chips from the cards and then be able to access them.

The data is probably still safe on the card but the card needs pulling apart, the memory chips need removing, equipment is then required to read the data and compile it back into a useable form. Very few companies will do this process around the globe.

This is where Recoverfab prove their worth, time and time again. Read all of their other reviews. Go and watch the videos of the recovery process, this is not something that you can do on your own! I'm really grateful that Recoverfab were recommended to me because I had all but given up hope on recovering my photos.

Communication is excellent. Messages are replied to very quickly. The process is very swift and transparent. I was a bit nervous about shipping my CF card abroad (from UK), but didn't need to worry. Instructions were clear and concise at every stage and now thankfully I can enjoy these photos.

"Recovered my vacation pictures from CF card"

I was transferring vacation photos from a 64gb compact flash card when all of a sudden the computer no longer recognized it in the middle of the data transfer. The card was never able to be recognized again on the computer, so software based recovery was out of the question. Through my research on photography forums I heard about Recoverfab. I filled out the form on its website and got an instant response on where to ship the card. I had some questions and the response back from Leopold the owner was fast.
Only a couple days after the card getting delivered I received an email with a link to their website to confirm the recovered data. The chip on the card was damaged and most (80%) but not all of the pictures were recovered! This certainly is better than nothing especially for important vacation pictures. The price is very reasonable from my research and shopping around getting quotes. I would recommend this service to others.

Internet kann manchmal echt gut sein. Entscheidend war aber das Telefonat und die Auskunft von Herrn Hiersche persönlich, dass auch SD-Monoblockkarten bearbeitet werden. Und ? Es hat geklappt ! Ein superdickes Dankeschön, denn ich hätte meinem 70 Jahre alt gewordenen Schwager kaum mehr in die Augen sehen können ... Ich bin echt glücklich !
