"I ordered glasses on 11/27/22 (12/28/22 Target admitted they lost my glasses)"
I ordered glasses on 11/27/22. I received an email a few days later that they were working on it. They sent me a survey a week later but when I tried to answer it, the survey was expired within hours. I called to find out my order status and the automated call system could not find my number and hung up on me. I sent 3 emails requesting a refund and/ or status and did not receive a single reply. I finally reached someone on chat and they confirmed that my glasses were lost in Target's system and that they would have to request a refund once the Managers came back from vacation so it would be a week before anyone ever got back to me about my missing order and stolen money for an order of prescription glasses that I never received. If the idea of being scammed out of $400 dollars sounds fun to you then by all means order eyeglasses at Target Optical. I strongly discourage ordering from them. I am out $400 and will have to wait for a refund of an order never received (even though it was set to ship to their Target locations) until the Mangers have completed their Christmas . New Year's vacations. Worst customer experience ever.
The Target Optical is not run y the same management as Target the store so you may run into some shady business practices like I did.

"Defective poorly made lens that Target doesn't stand behind"
I purchased Target glasses but had difficulty seeing clearly. After checking my eyes and prescription again over several months I had the lens read at a different optical shop. They quickly determined the right side lens was made incorrectly with the measurement way off, not even close. Took the glasses back to Target and their employee confirmed the lens was wrong and they would probably replace it as it was Target's mistake. The manager however, decided it had been too long, that I should have somehow known their defective junk lens was the problem earlier and even though the lens was defective when it was delivered me, they weren't liable for a correct replacement lens that I previously paid hundreds of dollars for. Lesson learned, Target provides junk lens that they do not stand behind. Save your money and frustration and go elsewhere. I would give zero stars if I could.

"Targetoptical.com ripped me off"
I ordered contacts and was sent the wrong Rx so I requested an exchange and after about a week of arguing with them, they gave me a acct credit. Well, this time they sent me the wrong brand so once again I contact them and they tell me on chat that I can return them. What they didnt tell me was that they would just take my return and not refund my money or exchange my lenses. I am still fighting with them on this matter to this day. Everybody who has been ripped off by these crooks needs to file a class action suit against them and show them we are sick and tired of getting ripped off.

"Complete run-a-round and waste of time."
I ordered glasses from Targetoptical.com on 3/30/22. They needed my prescription of course and I had recently had an eye exam at a local Target (the store gave great service). The site did not allow me to give the store info and required the Dr's information. Which I provided. They then tried to tell me they could not find this Dr. I was then able to tell them it where the exam took place and amazingly they found the Dr then, but did not tell me. Then they wanted my PD (due to medical reasons this is not needed for me, but I provided it). They asked for my PD several times even though I had provided it. On the third time they finally verified receiving the PD and confirmed they had the prescription. Finally by 4/8/22 they were able to send my order to the lab. On 4/11/22 they sent me a notification that they could not process my order and it had been cancelled. No explanation was provided. Then they sent me an E-mail stating I had cancelled my order and asked if I had meant to do that and to call them if I had made a mistake or there were issues with the order. I called the number and after getting through their phone tree I was advised I had reached them outside their normal business hours. Their normal business hours are the same as mine so I cannot call them. I sent an E-mail response and so far have not received an answer. The store has better hours than the online site, and much better service. Unfortunately I am a bit too busy and it is a bit too far for me to run there again to get the glasses I wanted. That is why I was trying to use the "Convenience" of their online site.
Amazingly the company responded to this review. 14 months later. Further they have closed their physical location and I now have to go to Lens Crafters. Since Luxotica owns all these store-fronts, I guess they do not really care which one I purchase from.

"Charged $30 tax for nontaxable item"
I called to inquire about a $29.94 cost labeled "taxes" on my bill. I told them I have never been charged for sales tax for prescription eye glasses because it is not a taxable item in my state. I also asked how that was calculated since my total was only $220. I was told that everyone is charged with the tax no matter where they live and the tax is based on the full amount (before the insurance discount). I asked where that money goes if not to NJ. The answer was "if there is no state tax, there must be a city tax or federal tax" That was their actual answer!!
