"Warning: Deceptive Business Practices"
This company is nothing short of deceptive. They prey on carriers with dishonest tactics and empty promises. I had heard countless warnings about their unethical behavior but never imagined it would be this bad until I experienced it firsthand. They will find every excuse imaginable to avoid paying for detention, effectively stealing the money that is rightfully yours. Their entire operation seems designed to deceive and exploit. We are left with no choice but to cancel our contract and take them to small claims court. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company—they will only take advantage of you.

"Beware of this company"
Beware of this company. They are the worst in the industry. DO NOT DO power only loads for them. I hauled a load and blew a tire in their trailer and 5 months Nathan later they were trying to charge me for the tire even though they said it wasn’t my fault. Do not and I repeat do not haul for them. They give the industry a bad name!

"Dishonest and unprofessional"
I will no longer haul for this broker. If the shipper on a load short ships and seals the trailer, they will hold payment on all the invoices owed trying to strong arm you into paying for a claim that they create.

"TQL is not trust worthy, please watch yourself!"
On July 17, 2024, we agreed to transport a trailer for TQL from Midland, TX to Baltimore, MD for
$1,900.00. Our driver got to their site to pick up the trailer, did an inspection and everything
appeared to be in order except a couple tires looked flat so he demanded they put air in them. They did, so he hooked the trailer up to our tractor and headed out. An hour later, the wheels from their client’s trailer came off the trailer in the middle of a busy
highway. A State Trooper showed up and helped direct traffic so our driver could get over to the side of the road safely. We immediately, call the broker and told him what happened. The broker apologized to us for this happening. The State Trooper called a tow truck to come and pick up the trailer. The tow truck driver told our driver that this was a bad hub and proper maintenance was not done on the trailer and that's why the wheels came off. The tow driver talked to the dispatcher and gave them their information. So as far as we were concerned, the matter was settled. He stated that they wanted us to still pull a load and asked us to come back (an hour) to the pick up spot, he would have a load for us to deliver the next day for $3,000. Apparently, that didn’t pan out (a lie) and we were asked to do different load from Midland, TX to IL. We agreed since it was the same amount as the 1st load. We picked up the trailer and delivered it with no problem.
We put in our paperwork only to be told that a claim had been filed against us. So now we are out of our fuel, $1950 and now they are coming after us for the tow bill for their client's trailer. How are we responsible for someone else's maintenance for their trailer? We have been getting the run around about our money for weeks and now they have filed a claim with our insurance for a $7000 tow bill that we don't have anything to do with because that trailer was not our property.
Beware, these brokers lie.

"Unfair Claim "
1st. Load 28426393 was a no touch shipment picked up on 6/7/24 at 9am, with a (Strict) delivery date of midnight 6/9/24. The load was delivered on time (Before) 6/9/24, around 11pm. Amazon broke the seal examined the load & the driver was advised the load had shifted due to “bad pallets”.. The load was then re-facilitated & taken to a bonded warehouse in which again the reloader remarked “bad pallets” shipper at fault. My company was extremely under paid on this lane, I wasn’t compensated properly for overlay, extra fuel, nor storage at my personal facility 4hours away! The broker Kwame Dapaa was a nightmare to work with. This gentleman definitely doesn’t have the personality or temperament to be beneficial to TQL. I billed TQL for my out of route expenses & received little to nothing, “ Kwame said I’m eating” Now I’m being billed for storage that’s & unfair claim through (Rebecca Ross). I am a transportation company, not a shipper or a loader! I interviewed my driver Sam Freeman about this load, who stated the load was in tact before the the shipper closed the doors. There’s no way a transportation company will know that a pallet or pallets are weak during a load being in transit. It’s impossible. On this this load we followed proper protocol according to the driver instructions “Note to carrier section” on the provided driver instructions.

"This company owes us over $8k"
This company owes us over $8k, they keep the funds after the delivery was completed and after receiving payment from the shipper , stay away from these crooks. They don’t pay for nursery or produce loads, their bond insurance excludes those as well, stay away from these crooks

"A disappointment to their mission statement"
Working with them is like pulling teeth. I have done business with TQL 2 times and both times were HORRIBLE. This review is particular to Invoice # 28325651 BOL #28325651. I believe this TQL is in the Chicago,IL location. Our account manager Ta’Juan Ingram and customs specialist Antonina Lorig scheduled our international pick-up way too early. With their company's specialization being freight, I would assume that they would advise us correctly but in the end, we found that paperwork and meeting were pending and required for the customs release. Long story short, this ended up with storage fees that we are now responsible for. We are unsure of the amount as we are still waiting for the final invoice, but the total last given to me was $750 but could be more. When you outsource a company, you would hope they would advise you correctly. You hire them so that the process would go smoothly. Mr. Ingram had the audacity to say that they can "see what can be done about the fees" IF future business was on the table. After chasing the Team Leader, Tyler Larson for an answer, he simply tells me to "disregard" the email. Does anyone really know what's going on over there? The first time I did business with them, they told me they didn't accept credit card which was also incorrect. This makes me question with TQL being a BILLION dollar company, how well do they train their employees before they are released to handle accounts?! This situation remains unresolved as of this email as each time I ask clarification on why we were basically told that something could be done about the fees IF we were going to continue business with them" Mr. Larson keeps dismissing it by telling me to disregard the email and to default to "Once the invoice is finalized, we will have that sent out." This is extremely frustrating as no one will truly review the matter at hand and get to the root of WHY storage fees occurred in the first place. BEWARE TO ALL WHO WILL SCHEDULE IN THE FUTURE. They will urge your decisions with regard to the freight to be within email so that they can have "written record", but when a problem arises, they will constantly try to reroute communication to over the phone. I got on the phone with Mr. Larson and he basically said "there are too many things that can happen with BOL for us to advise you" I have not been getting anyone willing to work with me unless I gave them a call. I will update when the situation has been resolved.
