"Rock Choir another side to them."
My partner was a member for five years. Unfortunately as the time went on the rock choir was obviousy geared towards a money making entity with little thought to the members. For example they paid their own way to attend performances without being supplied with so much as water afterwards. My partner eventually decided she had had enough and left after a months notice. She had faithfully paid monthly for five years. She then received emails demanding an extra month's money to cover to the end of 'term time'. So from a monthly subscription it went to term time. The emails became more threatening and she paid to get them off her back. I personally wish I had been responsible for payment as I would have loved to have taken them on and exposed a side to this organisation not seen publicly. I'm glad she's out of it and happy with another choir who actually care about their members.

"Love it love it love it "
From my free try till now I have found Rock Choir to be amazing . From being bored at home since retiring to attending 2/3 sessions a week .Everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome . Bev is a brilliant teacher , who makes our sessions fun and enjoyable. I’ve made lots of new friends , some of us car share and attend other nearby sessions every week without having to pay any extra fees which makes it even better value . But I think it is well worth the monthly fees we pay anyway . I’m looking forward to attending my first gig in a few weeks time . .

"Absolutely amazing "
I have only been a part of Jans Winchester rock choir for a few months but I’ve never felt so welcome in a community of people. Jan is an absolutely brilliant choir leader, Tracey is the kindest soul and the group of people are so so lovely. As someone younger I am so glad I’ve been able to enjoy this as much as I have and the first song I heard them sing together I knew how much I wanted to be there.

"Don't delay, join today!!!"
I had been looking at joining Rock Choir for almost a year but with a pending house move out of the County I decided to wait until I was unpacked and relatively settled in my new home (in Irthlingborough, Northants).
I've been in my local group for just 2 weeks and I am buzzing!!
The Rock Choir team were so welcoming when I arrived at my first session and did everything they could to make sure I was made to feel welcome. It felt like my first day at a new school when I stepped in but 5 minutes later I felt like I'd be going for years!!
Dave, our Choir Leader, has so much love and energy for singing. He's full of encouragement and we have a good giggle along the way. The songs cover all genres so there's always something to sing the rooftops off with or to take a moment of reflection along as you sing.
I can't wait to see what waits for us as a Choir, and events we will be sharing with our fellow Rockies.
My only regret is that I waited a year to join.
If you're thinking about trying this, don't wait like I did. Go along to a free taster session; I guarantee you won't be disappointed 😊

"Endorphins boosted!"
After my taster I started my membership. The atmosphere is incredible and I’ve already made new friends. I already feel like my mental health has improved and I’m so excited to get stuck in! The choir leader for our area (Richard) is brilliant! Friendly and knowledgeable. The choir I’ve joined is very big, but he has a way of making you feel seen and valued.

"Rock choir is great for making new…"
Rock choir is great for making new friends and fab if you enjoy singing
Unfortunately it wasn’t for me due to the cost
You only actually have the opportunity of 28 sessions out a year terms are very short and you still have to pay £27.50 a month even if there are no sessions
If you decide to do the performing it probably is better value
Was also put off with the strict dress code
Black coat, black trousers, fully black shoes A little bit too much like school uniform for me

"I joined rock choir 2019 but have left…"
I joined rock choir 2019 but have left now nearly 3 years ago, rock choir is too regimented, you can't do this etc etc... And the cost is unreasonable no discounts for people on benefits, so with them saying it helps mentally to sing it doesn't as the cost is detrimental to mental health. Prices should be revised, paying even when not term time doesn't make sense not worth £27.50. I wanted to join a happy care free choir, but this felt like being back in schoo

"One of the best decisions I ever made"
Six years ago I took the plunge and joined Rick choir and I can honestly say I have never looked back. The feeling I get when I sing with the Rockies is priceless and the friendships I’ve made I know are forever. Our choir leader Jan Moll is an absolute star…. She’s not only a great teacher, but makes it fun and we love the bits.
Would make it recommend joining to anybody.

"I Have Finally Had Enough Of Rock Choir."
For a long time (since 2018), I was exceptionally happy to regard myself as a 'Rockie', the name which Rock Choir uses to refer to it's members.
Sadly, after the latest in an lengthy list of unfortunate, eye opening, and highly disappointing experiences, which I have reported but see no point in revisiting here, I no longer wish to associate myself in any way with Rock Choir.
While Rock Choir is, I admit, a source of great joy to many people, as it was for me for so long, it is essentially a mercantile enterprise, in which nothing over-rides the money making imperative, bringing in aproximately £10 Million a year from member subscrptions alone and goodness knows how much from member add-ons and paid for performances, every penny of which goes straight to Rock Choir.
Moreover, nothing is allowed to interfere with the illusion that Rock Choir is one big family of people who love to sing. In order, therefore, to service this illusion, complaints and criticisms are glossed over with seductive and attractive platutudes, designed to flatten out the waves of legitimate dissatisfaction and honest, well meaning discontent.
In reality, when it comes to your local Rock Choir, it is a pot luck numbers game, where some choirs are often overlooked with regards to performance opportunities, because other, more established and more 'connected' Leaders actively ensure that their choirs always get priority.
From being the happiest thing in my life, the one day of guaranteed sunshine in often difficult weeks, Rock Choir have finally forced me out. I should have left a year ago, when the illusion finally faded.

I CAN'T HELP BUT NOTICE THAT, TWO MONTHS ON FROM MY REVIEW, ROCK CHOIR HAVEN'T RESPONDED.

"Rock Choir Cornwall "
Joining Rock Choir is the best decision ever. I was so nervous and anxious, but I needn't have worried. Everyone is so helpful, friendly. It is one big family. Choir practice can't come quick enough! Have done 3 gigs since joining in September this year and already booked to do loads more.
Well done to Marcus our Choir Leader for all the hard work he puts in, and well done Rock Choir for being inclusive and diverse.
You've certainly changed my life for the better.
