"Received immediate refund after Spain cancellation."
I was a bit worried after reading all these reviews, but after I had to cancel a holiday to Spain because of the updated travel advice I rang C+S and they refunded both my voucher (£180) and bank charge (£100) within hours of the phone call.
It seems they have sorted their act out.

"Shocking service during pandemic"
We had 2 stays booked with canopy and stars, due to covid 19 we needed to cancel, this was refused and I was told I would need to move my dates to next year, pay the deposit again and pay for the price increase of next years booking! I asked for a refund of my deposits this was refused, 4 unanswered emails later and I am losing all hope of seeing our £300 again. Shocking service, I wont be using them again.

"Mixed Feelings"
Our first few holidays with Canopy and Stars were very good. The properties we stayed at were great and all was good.
However, things rather fell apart on our last holiday when Canopy and Stars clearly forgot to tell the property owners about our booking. To be fair to them, they handled the situation well and all was generally fine.
However, seeing how Canopy and Stars are treating people this year with respect to the COVID-19 situation and reading their 'policies' on their website makes me highly reluctant to do business with them again.

"Poor customer service"
Poor customer service.
We had a few holidays planned this year and when the coronavirus situation arose we received emails from all travel companies except Canopy and Stars. The only correspondence we received was an email to request our outstanding balance which didn’t mention the current situation at all. We had to email them to ask about our options, which were limited it seems, and the reply we received was very curt and unprofessional.
I wouldn’t use again based on the customer service we have received.

"Another one duped by Canopy & Stars!"
As per the other reviewer I too have fallen victim to the feedback filter ☹
I booked a 2 night stay at the hobbit hut, the reviews sounded like it was too good to be true, and as fate would have it, it was.
The review on Canopy and Stars failed to mention important things like, there is a hole in the door blowing cold air in you can fit your hand through (we have the photo) we was freezing cold both the nights and there wasn’t adequate room for putting a small sports bag and to top it off, the cutlery was situated in the toilet! Was any of this on their sales page? Nope.. Only a host of 10/10 glowing reviews.
I felt cheated. I got back from my trip and left a honest and fair review with Canopy and Stars and they failed to publish it. When I emailed them to ask why they said they spoke to the owners about it, well my review wasn’t for the owners, it was to make sure the public knew exactly what they was getting.
I told Canopy and Starts I felt it was very underhanded to only cherry pick the best reviews leaving the most accurate ones out. The failed to get back to me after that email.
I could not book with them again because I don’t believe a single word on any of their ‘chosen’ perfect reviews.

"Be careful when booking, feedback filter!"
I have stayed at 2 of the locations canopy and stars offer. The first was fab, the second awful. The location was not as described and the road noise constant, rather than occasional if the wind is in the wrong direction which is what the write up claimed. I will never use canopy and stars again as they do not post negative feedback, rather they respond with emails and then say that they will file the feedback to see if there are more similar reports. Feedback is feedback, like it or not!
