Just back from an incredible once in a lifetime trip to Sri Lanka with Rory’s Travel it was was beyond amazing from every aspect, the excursions were so memorable, wild life safari, trekking on Horton Planes, elephant orphanage I got to wash an elephant in the river! So many adventures every day and so affordable . Rory was such a great help, so happy to have booked

Just home from my first solo trip with Rory’s Travel - Sri Lanka -and I have to say it completely exceeded any expectations I had. I’m a member of both the Travel Club & the Group Trips Travel Club - wonderful value for €12 each pa. I’ve already saved more than €24 to cover the membership! Have availed of the hotel deals in Ireland and also just returned from the India group trip……what an experience! It was go go go from start to finish. The group were such a lovely bunch and we had fun all the way. Everyone kept an eye out for everyone else, so it was ideal for solo travellers. If you are thinking of joining - go for it-honestly it’s money well spent.
Looking forward to many Rory’s trips in the future!

Trip to India! Everything was very well organised and went smoothly. Had a great tour guide for the week&of course the wonderful people in the group made it all more enjoyable!

"Rory Travel Club India 2024"

I went on the India trip Sep24. I went solo and didn't know anyone beforehand who had booked but by the 2nd day everyone was on first name terms and so friendly and supportive.
The tour itself was first class with excellent hotels with luxuries like roof top pools and great selections of Indian cuisine to choose. Almost all the meals were included so no need for exhausting searches for suitable restaurants. Most of the group dined together and shared experiences which helped bond even more.
The local tour organizer Raj was very knowledgeable and he was available day and night but in addition we had other expert guides accompanying us to each of the World Heritage Sights and other attractions. When one of the group misled his bag they were able to arrange a taxi to pick it up and restore it to the owner.
The Ranthambore safari park could do with a bit of investment in it's road infrastructure, not RTC's fault.
Some of the highlights included the dawn visit to the Taj which sublimely exceeds all expectations, the thrill a minute rides on rickshaws and tuck tucks.
In theory India drives on the Left like us. In practice they drive anywhere there's a gap in any direction but we didn't see any actual accidents.
India is not for the fainthearted or squeamish , lots of poverty, crazy traffic, hawkers and rubbish but it's part of the world we live in. It is what it is and it's an experience like going back to Biblical times, broading the mind and understanding life a bit better, warts and all. The people are so friendly with a big ready smile.
India is (in)famous for its beaurocracy and unfortunately some of the group had issues (quickly resolved) with Indian visas but that's not RTC's fault.
Rory and Ashling were on the trip with us which was wonderful and they were working non stop to fine tune this and other trips.
I have now been on a few RTC trips and a few more booked. All 5*. I look forward to the frequent emails.
