"Group Trip to Switzerland/Zurich"

Just home from Switzerland after an amazing 4 days, thanks to Rory and his team and all the team at Marble Travel for the assistance and guidance over the last few weeks/months as the trip was planned out. The two day trips were excellent and got so much in, there would have been zero chance of me doing all 4 places on my own initiative if I had just decided to go to Switzerland for 4 days !!
This is my third time going on a group trip. The fun the laughter and the memories and the friends will last for a long time !!!
I will certainly be going on another trip. And I am a solo traveller on these trips and you always fit in.

"2nd trip with RTC. Switzerland. "

This is my 2nd trip with RTC and again it was fantastic. He gave us a rough itinerary of what to see and do in Switzerland in our group chats which was fantastic idea. We seen some amazing sights we may not have thought of going to if it wasn't for the ideas presented. The crack was fantastic with everyone. Public transport was so reliable and all places were so clean. The hotel was in a great location and rooms were clean. Only downside was the breakfast choice, very little to choose from. We were very lucky with the weather too. I highly recommend going to Switzerland but just expect to pay a little more for food and drink (but its worth it)

Just back from Switzerland trip , it was a fantastic few days Rory organised a bus for us for 2 days taking us to smashing spots , this was great as it kept the group together and was half the price if we were to book tours through local company , nice 1 Rory .
Hotel 30 min walk to center ,v clean an comfortable with a good of choice of eateries near by . Great mix of people from everywhere. Already thinking of next Rory's trip

"Switzerland trip"

I recommend to anyone who likes to travel and and meet new people to sign up. I've been on 2 group trips so far and had an absolute ball!! 😊 Rory goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has the best experience. For less that the price of most drinks in Switzerland it's beyond worth it! Thank you Rory, see you again on another adventure.

"Zurich and Switzerland trip."

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the trip to Switzerland, Rory did everything in his power to make our trip enjoyable. The discounts we got were great and the people on the trip made it even more enjoyable.
One thing and only one that might need a tweak was the hotel , the breakfast facility was not able to handle such a big group and a hotel with a bar so we could all meet might be a good idea going forward. Other from that 10/10.

"Zurich group trip"

Just back from my first trip with RTC (Group trip to Zurich) and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish Rory and Tom in Marble City Travel were great to deal with. The hotel was great value for money and in a fab location. We had two days of bus trips which took us to Interlaken (an absolute must see), Grindlewald, Lucerne and Rhinefalls and we saved over €100 each thanks to Tom and Rory organising the coach for us. The highlight of the trip was the company, it was a fantastic mix of people from all over Ireland brought together by RTC and so many fab memories were made. The €12 membership fee is unbelievable value for what members get. I'd highly recommend joining, looking forward to many more trips with Rorys Travel Club!

"Switzerland 4 Day Trip "

I arrived home last night from a 4 Day trip to Switzerland organised by RTC. It was a brilliant trip which I would not have had the confidence or knowledge to book on my own. It made a hugely expensive country affordable to visit for an average Joe like myself! Well done Rory and the RTC team.

The trip for our group was based in Zurich, with heavily discounted day trips to Interlacken, Grindlewald, Lucerne and Rhine Falls. I think the group got these optional trips for around half price with RTC. Most people in my group booked onto these bus tours and did not regret it!!!

The group itself was a wide mix of ages, backgrounds and personalities from all over the island of Ireland. SHOUT OUT to the possé of crazy TYRONE girls that were on my trip!! Without a doubt.....the Swiss flag has a hint of green in it after experiencing you lot!

My group was a mix of solo travellers, couples, work colleagues and friends.....but by the end of the first day everyone was getting along and chatting like life long buddies!! There was no awkwardness and it was perfect for a solo traveller to do a short trip to test their confidence.

The hotel we stayed in was called the Zuri in District 5, it was modern, spotless with robust industrial decor. Unfortunately they got overwhelmed at breakfast trying to cater for two large groups of Irish travellers trying to get breakfast in before 7.30am so we could catch the coaches to go on our day trips. This was out of the control of RTC. Breakfast was a continental style breakfast all done in self service. The hotel did not have a bar.

Overall, a brilliant busy trip, made even better by the group I was with. Rory kept in regular contact and even stayed in Zurich with us on the first night and was available to assist in whatever way he could. I am definately looking at the next trip I can go on with Rory and his team.

"Why stress over Which membership should I join , just do both "

What can I say , where do I start ! So many of us out there, our lives have changed for whatever reason so a new plan is needed to travel and experience new adventures. Well I discovered Rory's travel and decided to join both the regular membership and the group membership. That gives me the choice of availing of numerous offers with a friend or family on suggested dates OR using the information to travel as part of a group on a particular date to a particular place .
I'm retired I want to travel I'm solo but I'm not on my own when I go on Rory's travel group trips, and I've been on a few . I'm only back from Switzerland a few hours having said goodbye to some the most amazing people who were not in my life 5 days ago .Rory suggested several tours and even organised buses at a reduced rate . I would never have managed to get all that in on my own so I was very happy to pay for tour buses. You also have people who are making their own plans to go in their own direction to do their own thing and possibly meet up for food or drinks. The one thing we share as a group is the WhatsApp chat . Now that's always informative but can be confusing stressful and gets out of hand with every question under the sun just like every other WhatsApp chat . However you are part of that group, it's what starts the excitement about your upcoming trip, it's sharing ideas , it's making a rough plan and it's keeping you in the loop when you are not sure what you should do next . When you are on your own and that first evening someone suggests meeting across the road for drinks, you are no longer on your own, you are part of Rory's travel group.
I've met brilliant couples, loads of solos, had great fun, mixed in when I wanted, got away on my own when I felt like it but I'm not on my own . So far I've done a yoga weekend, several group overnight stays in Irish hotels where we all got together during the day car pooled etc and had dinner and music in the evening with great chats. I've been to Agadir just back from Switzerland and going to Malta next month. I'm in Kilkenny around Christmas with a group. Whether it's North South East or West long haul short trips cruise's, you will find something to suit you. It's given me so much interest in planning my next adventure, always a bit of work involved, it's not all done for you . We are paying €12 a YEAR for information on how to book , get the deals you book your trips transfers , but you are given the support in the WhatsApp chat.
I've no doubt there will be loads of excellent reviews about our Switzerland trip because it was . Probably loads of photos posted on Facebook and Instagram, so check them out and maybe give Rory's travel a try .
I've noticed It's attracting all age groups which I like . I have a gammy knee and decided to bring a crutch with me in order to keep up with sightseeing. I came across younger people who were so considerate making sure I wasn't left out in many scenarios . PJ you are a topper and so kind ,and it wasn't only with me . The Derry girls were full of fun never a dull moment and so thoughtful of anyone needing help booking tickets etc and more importantly sharing wine . To all of you lovely people I had the pleasure of spending time with , you made my few days special and Thank you Rory for doing what you are doing.
