I have always used ceramic bowls to feed/water my cats, but recently read that stainless steel was better. Since my cats are prone to feline acne, and my ceramic bowls were getting old, I decided to search for good stainless steel. I was impressed with Basis Pet's description of their quality and pet-friendly design. I ordered a medium size bowl and the white holder for water, and six small bowls for food. The cats like to play in their water and they scoot their water dish around, but the holder effectively stops the scooting! It can even be used with their old water dish while I am washing the new one. But I will definitely be ordering a spare dish so I can completely eliminate ceramic. The cats did not hesitate to switch to the new food bowls! They are shallow and well designed. It is easy for them to eat from without touching their whiskers. I can see and feel the quality of the bowls; they are much better than pet store quality. They wash well in dishwasher.

I never knew that I needed to be concerned about ceramic dog bowls until I read up on it. I ordered the Basis Pet bowls and stands for my dogs and to give as gifts to my family for their pets. I did have a small concern and Mike responded immediately! I kid you not: IMMEDIATELY! He sent me a replacement and it arrived within a few days. My original order arrived within three days or so and the packaging was excellent for safe shipping. I have two medium sized dogs and went with the medium sized bowls which appear to be just the right size. The stands are interesting and add a "modern look". I'm thrilled and my dogs appear satisfied too!
