"Slightly disappointed "

I selected and OBGYN with the assumption that whatever topic talked about, the provider would have basic understanding and sensitivity. I brought up ending our long infertility journey with multiple rounds of IVF, and wanted to focus on myself and get to a place mentally and physically where I was before. She responded with an "I'm sorry," but immediately followed it with, "Is adoption and option for you?" Then continued it with a success story that her sister had with IVF.

To me, this really shows how "any" provider, no matter the education, can really expose themselves to what little they understand about people within their community. These types of responses really make the patient like their words are not validated. Infertility can initially under the realm of an OBGYN. It saddened and frustrated me that this was their response.

When someone goes through infertility and treatments, KNOW that it is not an option they choose lightly and it's an only option to have a biological child. No one decides one day that they will spend $100k+ to try for a biological child, or then decides they want to spend an equal amount on surrogacy or adoption. The process is not easy and it is complicated.

Providers! Let this be a big learning experience. When patients open up to you about their past medical histories, don't come at them with options or stories. Listens be empathetic and validate what they say.

Outside of this initial start, the remainder of the appointment went ok. Finding providers that gel with you is challenging. Building trust with your patient is crucial.

Very happy with the appointments I’ve had with this doctor . I am currently without insurance and this was a good option for me given where I currently live. Healthcare is so expensive but I was able to pay out of pocket for my visits and medication with out going into debt which is amazing.

I had a virtual appointment after testing positive for Covid. Having been sick for two full weeks the first time I had it, I really wanted to try Paxlovid so i requested it. I had already uploaded a pic of my positive test to the app. After going over my symptoms, I got a prescription sent to my local CVS. My husband was able to pluck it up just an hour later. The tracking of the prescription was better on Sesame than from CVS 😃 Thanks Sesame! I’m already starting to feel better just a few days later.

We’ve had some not so great experiences in the past but we really liked Charity she was caring and understanding and very professional. Will be using her for our future appointments!

Dr. Odekunle is Very Attentive. Listen's well to provide the Proper Diagnosis, and Prescription. Way better, much more professional, and better at Diagnosis, and Treatment than the CVS Minute Clinic, or City MD.

Dr. Ammar Mahmood was very attentive, and knowledgeable about my asthma and provided updated data for preventing limited asthma attacks. I didn't feel rushed. He was genuinely concerned and ask all the right questions regarding my situation. I recieved quick refills for my meds. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone looking for a great and caring physician.

When I am with telehealth, I can see the doctor listening to me which is great. I do have to waste time seeing the doctor jumping to patient to patient like in a regular hospital.
