"Great customer service from all at Gin"

Rahul and team were great, all through the purchasing process. Regular communcations and updates were provided.
Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I needed to cancel my order. This was dealt with, with kindness and understanding by Gin.
Once my situation has steadied I will definitely buy an ebike from them

"No bike after 10 months of waiting"

TLDR: Ordered bike at the end of August 2022, now it's middle June 2023, still no bike delivered to France. Had to refund. Very unprofessional company with huge communication and timing issues.

Information transparency and misinformation are the biggest problem of the company. When I ordered the bike in August 2022 the website didn't state that the bike was not in stock and that actually I made a pre-order. Then I got a message from Rahul that I need to wait just a couple of months till the bike arrives to Europe from China where they have a production factory. The bike was shipped by sea via "OOCL HONG KONG" vessel. It took several months till it reached Europe. Then a week it was travelling between European ports and then left to the USA. And then surprise! My bike was not on that ship! And I get all that information only by writing and asking Rahul about the status of my order. He is the kind of guy that doesn't like to inform you and breaks all his promises. For example, he can say that he needs a week to give you an answer, and then he just disappears for 2 weeks until you write him again and again. He literally always breaks the timing, promises and schedule that he defines himself. And he never bothers to inform you if there's any changes in plans or calendar. I have really never seen such unprofessional person. If you have communication with him just know that everything he says regarding timing is a completely not trustable and incorrect information.

For example, he said that the bike should be delivered in November 2022, then before the New Year. But oops, that didn't happen. There were always some issues according to what he says: shipping issues, custom clearance issues, etc. Besides, he knows how to upset the clients. He regularly sent me newsletters with photos of happy USA clients that had already received and enjoyed the bikes. Or a newsletter in Q1/Q2 2023 that they were already going to sell the new GIN X of the second generation! And I was looking at such emails thinking "Oh, my God, do you really think I'm happy to read that, when I paid money and after months of waiting I got no 1st generation bike, and now you telling me that everyone else has the bike and you even plan to sell 2nd generation?!". So, if you're planning to buy a GIN X bike be ready that you may need to wait for a year. Actually there only 2 people working in the company: it's Rahul and Marina. Both of them are co-founders. I have no idea why they don't hire more people if they are unable to communicate with their clients properly, respect the timing, etc. Are they so greedy not to hire more people? Anyway, Rahul at least seems to do all the work. Because he's the only guy you can communicate with, well, not so good experience, but at least after sending him 3-4 emails and waiting for several weeks you may expect to get some answer. Marina is even more special person. I don't know why she does it, but she's always in the email copy and sometimes when Rahul does not anwser for weeks, then she comes into play and writes something like "Hi, it's Marina, co-founder, I will help you with this issue. I will come back to you soon.". And then a complete silence. In my 10 months experience with communicating with her she never came back. Sometimes I wrote her 3-4 emails in a row every week, but she never responded. In the end after a month of silence Rahul returns and writes you an email to wait more. So I have no idea why she writes such kind of emails if anyway she never helps. All such behavour of the company looks very disappoint and insulting. At one poing I've been even thinking that they are just scammers who collect money for non-existent products.

I would also not trust the good reviews here. Because after posting my original review, Rahul called me and asked what he could do to make me put them at least a 4-star review instead of 2-star that it was originally. He said they had a Black Friday and need to sell more bikes, and that my review would spoil their sales. We agreed that I would change my review and will make a complete with real rating and full review after I get my bike. But after 10 months of waiting I still got no bike. How that could happen? In 2023 I had to leave France for a long business trip. Rahul told me that he will keep my bike for me, we discussed multiple times my arrival date and that the bike will be there when I return to France. Well, after returning there was no bike, and it took me 1.5 months to ask them a question where's my bike. The offered to wait for a new delivery from China and promised that it would be delivered in June 2023. But at the start of June they even couldn't confirm when the vessel will depart China. The problem is that they don't give you true information. If I knew all that beforehand I could act accordingly. All my experience with GIN was not smooth even the refund process.

"Quality bike with quality support team"

Have been looking for a ebike for ages searching reviews and YouTube channel.

Accidentally came across a review on YouTube for the GIN X bike and it was exactly what I had been looking for!

Search up the website and was amazed at the quality photos of the bike...my quest was finally coming to a close!

The design is unusual but has a designer feel about it.

The storage of the battery may seem awkward but the idea is brilliant the way it slides up and out of the way in the frame.

The whole design has a quality feel about it.

Contacted Rahul of Gin x via email with a few queries and received very prompt replies with answers.

Extremely helpful and obliging so have booked a test trial of the bike.

Although a new company, they have a very dedicated attitude which goes a long way for a customer, knowing there are real people with a passion for the product in communication with you.

From experience I have had I can recommend this company and will do another review when I have tested the bike...and then hopefully another when bike is ordered and delivered.

For the design, quality components and dedicated team behind us this bike looks a winner!

"GIn Very Responsive!"

I have asked many questions and Rahul and Emma have both been very timely in their responses and with their willingness to spend a significant amount of time to talk to me in person or respond to me via email. They are also doing an excellent job of sending me emails as to the status and progress of the build of my bike.

"Cheers Gin X"

I have had my Gin ebike for a couple of months now, and I love it ! .... it looks good and performs brilliantly,I find it amazing how quickly it eats the miles and how much fun it is to ride.
I spent weeks researching ebikes before I decided on the Gin X,believe me nothing comes close to the spec of this ebike for the money,if you are looking for a high spec quality ebike for an amazing price, don't hesitate,order one now before the price increases from the current £999,you won't regret it.
A special thanks to Rahul for dealing with any queries promptly and efficiently,you have a great product here.

"Fantastic bike"

I have had this bike for almost one month and in that time have clocked over 100 miles.

The bike has a high quality look and feel and rides great. The front suspension absorbs bumps on rough terrain which makes it suitable for mountain biking and it is also a good choice for commuting. The battery so far in my experience has met the specs provided on the website.

The only con I've come across so far is the seat being pretty uncomfortable during long rides. However this can be easily sorted by purchasing a seat cushion.

I'd also like to give a special mention to Rahul who responded promptly to my questions and provided me with routine updates. A brilliant service provided on their end.

"What can I say?"

What can I say? All is good so far regarding communication with Gin eBikes. It's a waiting game for delivery which I was made aware of when I placed my order. I'll write a full review when I receive the bike.
