Excellent communication and service response when a nine year old, hardly used and unserviced stair lift stopped working because I had stopped charging the batteries!

"Handicare maintenance contract billing"

Handicare took over the maintenance of our stairlift when it was no longer funded locally. Call outs have been ok and can't complain about the staff who visited. Just be aware though that these contracts are now handled by Premium Credit and if a payment is even one day late, you will get a penalty charge which more than doubles your bill. A wonderful way to treat the old, infirm or disabled ..... NOT !!!

The installation process was fine and we felt good supporting Age UK. The stair lift was installed in May 2019 used for approx 9 months. We understood that they would take the stair lift out when required but we would receive nothing which we accepted ...
we have just requested them to remove the stair lift and they don't offer this service anymore !!! Not happy, bearing in mind its virtually unused and leaves us with a BIG issue.. buyer beware !!

"Buying my first stairlift."

I found the experience of purchasing a stairlift from Handicare very easy and worth every penny that I paid for the installation. I applied on line and within the hour a man rang me to first explain all the arrangements that I could make to have my home assessed for the suitability of me owning a stairlift. He arranged for someone to visit me at home to further explain everything that I needed. Within a couple of days a man called and measured my staircase as well as measuring my legs etc. to ensure that I would be safe and secure when using the lift. He gave me details and options for different lifts and allowed me time to ask questions. The last point was the costings and I was assured that I was never under any sales pressure to buy. I agreed to purchase a stairlift and paid a deposit. In less than a week the lift was made and a fitter came and installed it to my satisfaction with a two year warranty. I must say that the service that I received from Handicare was very good and the after care package is second to none. Overall everyone involved with my purchase acted with professionalism and were very courteous

Once the chair lift was installed,the guys were very pleasant and helpfully with the demonstration of the chair lift showing my 97 year old mum exactly how it worked,would highly recommend.
