"Smokey Skies is our worst cabin yet…"

Smokey Skies is our worst cabin yet from Outrageous Cabins. We came for our 45th wedding anniversary and just wanted to relax and sit on the porch, sip wine and read. We preferred a mountain view rather than city view this time. That was our first mistake. Our Mountain View looks between 2 other cabins and a thicket of trees to see a very small view. No privacy on either level porch as both levels look at other very close cabins. The hot tub on the upstairs porch is dripping steadily onto the downstairs porch. The rates have gone up but the nightly rate is still reasonable. The cleaning fee nearly doubled and raises the total fee to be not such a great deal anymore. The cabin itself is ok, very small inside and out. I would stay in a motel before staying here again.

"We stayed in Tucked away July…"

We stayed in Tucked away July 15th-20th. This is the worst cabin I have stayed in to date. I researched the cabin, checked reviews, all were good- they must have not published the ones that weren't. I will admit it was a nice cabin but we found roaches, dead and alive. Ants on the counter tops in the kitchen. Dishwasher didn't work, tv upstairs had no satellite service, Lamp next to the bed didn't work. Some outside lights didn't work. Porch was filthy and couldn't be used, the cleaning crew could have swept the porch. We did sweep the inside and swept up the previous guest dirt that wasn't cleaned before our arrival. We had to go through all our belongings looking for ants and roaches and had to keep our clothes in the vehicles. We ended up finding a pet friendly hotel to move into .... reported all this to the staff and seemed unconcerned. Will not use Outrageous cabins again ...... very disappointed

"WE HAVE STAYED IN ANIMAL HOUSE FOR THE…"

WE HAVE STAYED IN ANIMAL HOUSE FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS AND WILL BE BACK THIS FEB. BY FAR THE BEST VACATION MY FAMILY HAS EVER HAD AND ITS A YEARLY VISIT NOW. WE ALWAYS BOOK ANIMAL HOUSE AS IT HAS THE BEST VIEW ON THE PROPERTY AND ITS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CABIN. MY FAMILY ALSO COMES AND STAYS IN CANDY KISSES WHICH IS ANOTHER AWESOME CABIN!!!!!WE LOVE OUTRAGEOUS CABINS AND ALL OF THEIR FRIENDLY STAFF!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS A MUST STAY!!!!!

"WE WILL NOT BE BACK"

Please DO NOT STAY HERE.
A BEARS VIEW is covered in mold in the downstairs bathroom and above the refrigerator right under the Jacuzzi tub. We stayed 3 years ago and it was great but not anymore.3 yrs ago the down stairs shower was broken well guess what... It STILL IS... The Jacuzzi was leaking from downstairs into our kitchen. We opened up the front. The WATER WAS 4 INCHES FROM THE ELECTRIC SOCKET!! KAYLA THE MANAGER SAID THAT THEY DONT NORMALLY LOOK UNDER THE JACUZZIS BUT IF THE ELECTRIC SOCKET WAS COMPLETELY COVERED IN WATER IT WOULD STILL BE SAFE TO USE IT BC THEY ARE MADE THAT WAY!!! Of course we knew better. Our kids were not going to be using a leaking Jacuzzi with the possibility of being electrocuted! We knew it was leaking when my 4 yr old said it was raining in the kitchen! We looked closer and noticed the brown circles in the wood were not brown where the water dripped. It must have been leaking for a very long time. THE CIRCLES IN THE WOOD WERE COVERED IN GREEN AND WHITE DOTTED MOLD!!!!! We took pics. We knew we had to get out of there then but that wasn't it. There was hair all over the downstairs bed. Crumbs on the couch. I had already washed everything before I saw the mold. The washing machine makes a horrible squeaky sound. The cabin is beautiful but how can a company let it go so bad. We had already been up to the office 3 times now we called about the mold Jacuzzi and almost getting electrocuted and we're told we'd get a call right back. An HR later we had to drive back to the office. We were moved after only 2 days at A BEARS VIEW. We only got to spend 1 night in the cabin we had chosen. It should have never been available for renting. They gave us a cabin on the other side of the street with an obstructed view so our once beautiful view was now looking a 2 cabins and a tree. We had to repack 5 people move and unpack. Then that night we spent 5 hours at the nearest Emergency Room with our 2 yr old son. He has severe asthma and we think the mold aggravated it so much he couldn't breathe. We thought for sure they would do something for our horrible time and them renting a cabin that was not ready. The manager offered us $50 for our next stay with them!!!!!!!! Our u kidding me. Plus they had a bears view ready for someone else to stay. The manager didn't know what the greenish white substance was but WASNT SURE IF IT WAS MOLD... AND THERE WAS SOMSOME SCHEDULE TO CHECKIN 5/11/18. We just checked out today. I told her it was UNSAFE TO PUT A FAMILY BACK IN THAT CABIN! BUT THE MANAGER SAID THAT SHE WAS UNSURE ABOUT THE MOLD OR THE LEAKING JACUZZI!! I asked if I could go back in the cabin to get a sample of the mold to have it tested at a lab. KAYLA THE MANAGER REFUSSED TO LET ME TEST IT. You can find a great view anywhere but don't risk your families health over it. Please take this review seriously! The customer service service and maintenance... Or lack of.... Has destroyed my once great memories of this place. They just don't care about the safety of people. It's all about money. There is no heart in OUTRAGEOUS CABINS. but their $50 offer for our next visit would not have worked if one of us would have been hurt in that Jacuzzi. I don't even think they are going to fix the mold or leak it's so sad. That cabin should not have been rented to my family in the 1st place. It's a hazardous environment and unsafe. Mold is not a laughing matter. It is to be taken seriously. I have 10 years In the medical field but they really did not show any concern. It can cause irriversable damage to brain and body with only a few spores. The manager just said she would need to talk to the owner. How about... Give us our money back and call a real professional in there to fix the place. They won't last long with a staff that doesn't care.

"Especially For You"

We also stayed in Especially For You the week before the previous reviewer. We experienced all the same issues and even dropped off a letter at the Outrageous Cabin office the morning we checked out. We called 3 times about the Jacuzzi being stuck- it was on and running the entire last night of our stay with the button stuck. Nobody came that night and we were told it was fine if we had to check out with the Jacuzzi still on before maintenance came out. It was unsettling to leave a major appliance on in a cabin that was unoccupied. I also let them know about the porch light not working and the TV in the bedroom going on and off. Apparently our note did not alert anyone to take action. I am disappointed to see that renters a week after us experienced the same issues. I will say the check in process is very easy. The cabin was kept very clean and the area where the cabin is located made us feel safe because it is not secluded. The views are amazing.

"This was our 6th experience with…"

This was our 6th experience with Outrageous Cabins. We stayed in Especially
For You from April 8th - 13th, 2018. We normally have a fantastic experience with
Outrageous. Normally we have no complaints. On this trip however, we
encountered more issues than we expected. I understand that things
break and don't always work but when you rent a "luxury" cabin, you don't
expect to have 8 issues. Though all minor, I feel
the up-keep of the cabin is lack luster at best. The first thing we
noticed was the cable TV in the master bedroom not working properly. I
contacted the business office the next morning and they said they
would send someone out to check on it. They did come but it didn't get fixed.
The cable would come on for a few seconds and then lose signal for 5 to 10
minutes. The next thing we noticed was the jets in the Jacuzzi tub in the
bathroom did not work. The button you push to turn on the jets was pushed in
and stuck. The hot tub on the porch was not working
properly as a few of the jets did not have any pressure. However, we still
used the hot tub and enjoyed it. The heated towel rack in the bathroom was
not working. The switch was broke complete off of the rack. We used it as a normal
towel rack which was fine but it still should have been working. The game
console in the house didn't work. I unplugged it and plugged it back
in hoping that would reset the game but it didn't. The front porch light wasn't working so every time
we came in at night we had to get out a flash light so we could see the
numbers on the key pad in order to get into the cabin. The electric fire place did not
produce any heat. I don't know if this was the intent and the fireplace was only for looks
but it would be nice to know ahead of time.
In the past all the other electric fireplaces produced heat. There was no
clothes hangers In the closets. If there is a rack to hang up clothes, there should be
clothes hangers. We don't pack clothes hangers when we travel. As I previously stated,
all the issues were small but when I rent a luxury cabin I shouldn't have this many issues.
I will give Outrageous Cabins another chance strictly based on how
my past experiences were. However, if the next cabin is sub-par, we will have to look at
another company for our future vacation stays.

Outrageous Cabins is by far the best company to rent a cabin through. If you want not only the best view, but also the best value, please check them out. I have stayed with them easily more than 20 times and they always make me feel at home. I have NEVER had a single complaint. Thank you Outrageous Cabins for always making my visit amazing!

My family has stayed in several Outrageous Cabins over the years. We keep returning because of the quality of the cabins and the service provided by the staff should we need anything. I would recommend Outrageous Cabins to anyone.
