"RMS commercial"

My husband and I have bought 8 commercial properties through RMS, the level of customer service is exceptional. The commercial team, led by Michael, are very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
RMS commercial have also let our properties finding us great tenants, and have put in place there leases.
A strong enthusiastic team, fully recommend them.

I've used Rook Matthews Sayer for many years now, for the letting of my commercial properties and also for the purchase of my home. The staff members I've dealt with have all been friendly, pro-active and efficient when dealing all aspects of sales and letting and I look forward to working with the team for many years to come. Highly recommended.

"Don’t waste your time"

Put in an offer in for a house 7 months ago and still haven’t heard back. We were told they would take it off the market whilst a decision was made (apparently offers can’t be accepted until the sellers have secured a house of their own. What’s that? That’s not true? Ok maybe someone should let RMS know)
House was put back on the market and then sold...
We ended up buying a house through another agent who evidenced how it should be done.
Generally just very poor service, at times quite rude and elements of false information. Don’t lie to your clients RMS - people will go elsewhere.
I have purposefully kept names out of this for professionalism, however this is based on experience of 2 members of staff at 1 branch.
I am mindful that other members of staff/branches may offer service a lot more thorough than this.

"This firm were the letting agents for…"

This firm were the letting agents for the house next door to me. Total nightmare. I have been forced to move out due to the horrendous tenants since 2017.

"Mortgage Advisor - Ryton Branch."

Ryton Branch - Mortgage advisor.
Appalling customer service she was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I was so taken back and flabbergasted by her comments and behaviour I exhaled so she then lowered herself even more to childish behaviour by mimicking me and exhaling aloud, haha WHF? Not what you would expect from an adult never mind a so called professional. To keep my dignity and self respect I left immediately after only 5 minutes of the meeting.
A shame really I had high hopes as I’d used the same branch many years ago.
Stay well away or be prepared to take abuse. You have been warned.

"Caution - Gas & Electricty Suppliers"

We recently rented a property through Rook Matthews Sayer. It was a really positive experience, and I couldn't rate Adele Eagleton (the Lettings Consultant) or Summer Glen (who handled the paperwork and references) highly enough, they were friendly, professional and responded quickly to any queries we had.
RMS are partnered with Tili, who set up essential home services for movers, such as council tax, broadband etc. We received an email from RMS with details of how Tili would contact us to begin the process. It was not a service we were interested in using, and we didnt think anymore of it as Tili actually didnt contact us at all. Unfortunately, in that same email, in the small print it stated that our gas and electricity would be provided by Spark Energy. As it was in the small print, and not mentioned to us at any other point, we were unaware and unable to opt-out until it was too late. Spark Energy has extortionate tariffs, and it has been a difficult process to sort out 3 different energy suppliers: the previous tenant's supplier, Spark Energy and our preferred supplier. This has left a sour taste regarding our experience with Rook Matthews Sayer and we will be avoiding using them again in the future, as although the staff were great, the switching of energy suppliers without our explicit consent felt deceptive.

"Utter rubbish customer service"

After many phone calls and no return calls, arranged to view a property in Amble that had just gone on the market. Drove to Amble (took 2.5 hours) puilled up outside the property 5 minutes before the appointemnt time to find a SOLD board up. Called the Amble office to see what was going on and was told I should have had a call last night to say it had gone under offer and cancelling the appointment. There was no call nor a missed call from them.

A 5 hour wasted round trip... and sorry doesn't cut it. They don't give a stuff as everything is shifting, at the moment.

"Brilliant estate agents!!"

I bought my first home through rook Matthews sayer blyth and the whole team were brilliant, I also used their in house mortgage advisor who was equally brilliant. We have also just sold our home and again used rook Matthews sayer again and the whole process couldn’t of been nicer. My house sold within 9 days!! Brilliant estate agents and very helpful and friendly customer service x
