"China pet shipper"
Overall, coffee has arrived in China safely!
The whole process for exporting from US and importing into China is hard. The paperwork , including health check , and duty checks is very strictly under this COVID-19 particular circumstances.
Dog Gone Taxi , is definitely a professional pet shipping company internationally. I have already referred to my Chinese friend who needs the service for importing to china. It saves lots of efforts by providing the all included services. Thanks!

"Good move"
I recently used Dog Gone Taxi to move my large black lab from Seattle to Ireland. Moving in the middle of a pandemic was very challenging and the team at DogGoneTaxi made the pet part of the move easy and smooth for us. I was expecting mountains of paperwork and forms, but they took care of everything once I got the records from our vet. From the initial booking they were on top of things.
When it proved difficult to find a flight (because so few airlines are flying into Ireland) they figured it out, arranged boarding, found a terrific partner on the Irish side to handle customs and deliver our dog to us. The staff who picked up our dog in the US were great.
An international move will always be stressful, but choosing Dog Gone Taxi meant that we had one less thing to worry about. Highly recommend.

"Indy and Flex to Thailand"
I can’t say enough about how much I appreciated the help and expertise that Ashley Duvall and the rest of the team at Dog Gone Taxi provided. Ashley was always willing to answer my questions about anything that popped into my head pertaining to our dog’s move, as well as provided a quick response. Our dogs mean so much to our family and we wanted the best experience for them in their move to Thailand from the US. We definitely felt they got that and arrived safely without any problems. Thank you Ashley and all that were involved in getting Indy and Flex to Thailand.

"Arranged my dog's trip to China with…"
Arranged my dog's trip to China with great care and help. Managed to solve a last minute issue of my own fault in the most satisfactory way. Special shout-out to Donald for making this possible and definitely recommend! Will be using the same for the return trip as well!

"The incompetency of a lifetime"
These people have been nothing but incompetent since the beginning of us working with them. I have never had such a lack of communication and transparency about the process. They messed up the dates that my dogs were supposed to travel and now my dogs are stranded in Germany with incorrect health records and are facing being shipped back to America when I’m leaving for Europe. Do not work with this company.

"Rebeca was amazing"
Rebeca was amazing, making our dog's trip happen very quickly and safely. We would use their services again in a heartbeat. Donald, the driver was open, friendly and reassuring. Our trip involved crossing a closed border so was stressful for us until we knew the family on the other side of the border had the dog. Huge thanks to all who made this happen.

"Labrador from USA to Switzerland"
We recently relocated from Portland OR to Switzerland and have used this company to move our black labrador.
I have requested quotes from more than ten companies. They were the quickest to get back to us and also had the best price. Ashley and her colleagues have been amazing with managing all the big steps. I loved how everyone was so responsive during such a stressful move. I was very nervous but Ashley was always able to put me at ease. No matter what time I contacted them they always replied instantly and I always knew what to do next and where my pet was.
I highly recommend this company!

"I am happy, but..."
First, the good. On my initial inquiry I received a very quick response with information and a quote to transport a puppy from California to Vancouver, BC. Alexandra and I spoke for a while and she sent me a copy of the CFIA form I was required to complete. Each line was filled in as an example and there were notes beside each line explaining in more detail. The form is confusing and the CFIA website is as well. It was nice to have some hand-holding here. Kudos to CFIA, as well. The website says it will take five to ten work days to get a permit. I received a response to say I had made an error after three days, I immediately corrected it and had my permit the next day.
The puppy I had intended to buy didn't work out, so it was another two months before I reached out to doggone taxi again. At this point I worked with Blezza. She seemed less experienced than Alex, but she always answered my questions with a quick response and got me the information I needed.
The plan was to pick the puppy up from the breeder in Mariposa, drive to the airport in San Francisco, where a pet nanny would fly with her under the seat (she is a small eight week old puppy) to Seattle. There she would spend the night and be driven over the border the following day where I would meet the driver. All went smoothly and she arrived exactly on time. She was a little intimidated from the 24 hours of travel, but half an hour after reaching our house, she was bouncing around trying to play with our two old dogs. So thank you Doggone Taxi for bringing me Lizzie.
Now, the bad. As other reviewers have stated, communication is where this company requires improvement. First, the invoice was $650 higher than originally quoted, as the initial one did not include ground transportation from Mariposa to the airport in San Francisco. That should have been noted from the first, as obviously ground transportation was required. Second, there was a lot of confusion about pick up. Border crossing was to be on Friday. Pick up was always scheduled for Thursday. But nobody could give me a time. Finally, on Tuesday, three days before estimated arrival, I was told pick up would be 10:30 to 12:30, Wednesday or Thursday! After some panic-stricken calls, it was confirmed pick up was Thursday. Two hours after pick-up, the breeder was called by Doggone Taxi, asking for the vet certificate required to cross the border. She had given the original and a copy to the young man who picked up the puppy. At that point I was upset and demanded a photo of Lizzie on the plane to prove that my 5 pound puppy was safely under the seat instead of travelling in the hold. I did get a photo after a while. The next morning I received notice that the driver would arrive ten minutes late to a new address. Fortunately, we live nearby, so when we arrived and realized that there is no gas station at that address (in fact, no such street number), we just went to the original meeting point and the driver arrived with Lizzie and at least one other dog a few minutes later.
I paid for the service with a deposit and then a final payment. When I tried to pay online, I was unable to get the code needed to access the payment, so I called Ashley and gave her my credit card. When I was trying to make the final payment, the system refused to acknowledge me at all, so I once again gave my credit card number. So this aspect of the company also requires some tweaking.
Doggone Taxi delivered my puppy safely when promised, during a very difficult situation. If this company can improve its communication with its customers and internally, the customer will feel greater trust and security, and then it will earn five stars.

"COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT"
I wish I could give ZERO stars. This is the mostly grossly incompetent business I have ever dealt with.
My point of contact ("relocation assistant") throughout this experience was Ashley Duvall.
First, the quote was very unclear. I have 2 cats, and some items in the quote were priced per cat, while others were quoted as the total for both cats. It took weeks and many emails just to clarify the pricing, and I got different answers depending on which employee I spoke to. In the end, it turned out to be much cheaper than the competition, but you get what you pay for...
Once the quote was figured out, I was told I needed to buy bigger kennels because customs in Germany supposedly requires 3 inches of clearance. If this were true, I would have no problem with it. But Germany, like the rest of the world, uses the metric system and would NEVER set a standard like this using inches rather than centimeters. This was simply a number she made up to sell me bigger kennels. When I asked for clarification I received no response. The question was simply ignored.
Phone calls were repeatedly ignored. Emails took days to receive a response, were so full of spelling and grammar errors that I couldn't follow them, and typically did not address the questions I was asking.
At this point I was reluctant to proceed with the booking, but the price was so much better than the competition, so...
I decided to go ahead and book. I received an itinerary for 2 DOGS going to the UNITED KINGDOM. I have 2 cats that needed to go to Switzerland. I corrected this information and made it clear that I had major doubts about their competence... I would need some sort of assurance that they actually know what they are doing. I received no apology, no explanation, no semblance of a commitment to do better from that point forward.
What I received instead was a new itinerary, on the wrong date, with a FOUR DAY LAYOVER IN GERMANY.
I am cancelling my booking with this company. I don't have much money, but I'm more than happy to pay DOUBLE their rate to avoid doing business with them.

"Literally the best taxi--not just for dogs!"
Shout out to Ashley, Rebeca, Barb and all Doggonetaxi staff who went above and beyond to help me through this journey relocating to Hong Kong with my CAT (yes they work with other pets too!!) They are the friendliest team I've ever met, very easy to talk to--it was like I am being helped by a friend!!
Because of COVID-19, many pet shippers suspended their international services, and I almost felt hopeless as my flight was due dangerously soon...
until I read a reddit post about international travel with pet turtles via Doggonetaxi, I decided to give them a shot to see if they can take my feline. They replied my inquiry promptly with a quote and detailed description of the service package which was highly customizable. This became extremely helpful for me as there were already so much uncertainties for my own flights due to the pandemic. I ended up needing a pick-up and boarding service shortly before my departure. They arranged a pick up at my apartment in Michigan promptly, and after that my cat stayed with them for about a week and got his pre-departure vet visit and documentations before his flight. Eventually, my cat arrived in Hong Kong safely--he seemed to be well rest and was excited to explore the new place!! Overall, it was a great experience and words can't explain how much I appreciate them. I highly recommend reaching out to them through email if anyone is planning to move their pets internationally!!
