The movers I was assigned were lovely and very hard working, arrived on time worked really hard and no issues at all

After several house moves I knew what I needed to get right: to provide as much information to the removal company as possible to avoid complications on the move day. That is exactly what I did.

You may provide them with as much detail of the number of items you want to ship as you may think, including photos and a couple of phone calls to go through everything in detail. And you would normally think that suffices. That was basically my job and I delivered: I was 100% transparent after around 5 exchanges including phone calls, photos and email explanations.

Their job was to provide a quotation based on my list.

However, they waited until they had my house in their depot to inform me THEY had made a mistake in their quote and on THEIR calculation of how much volume my items would mean, but it was MY responsibility to pay twice as much.

They could have accepted it was 100% their mistake calculating the volume and something I had no control of once I had shared everything with them. Alternatively, they could have said something when loading the van, for example. But it sure was more convenient to make the phone call when I had no other option than accepting their demand of 100% quote increase in ransom. Not 10%, not 50%: 100% more.

My advice is to not fall for any pseudo-gentle explanations beforehand about how trustworthy they are because, if they have the option to take advantage of you, they will do it.

Moving is always stressful and all you expect is the removal company to honour their contract.

My genuine advice is look elsewhere.

Great from start to finish, we had to move our moving date twice and fletcher was brilliant and more than helpful, when the great day, finally arrived, the two guys that arrived promptly to move us, worked like Trojan horses , I never knew you could get that much in a truck, they certainly know there stuff, we moved from a 4 bed house to a 2 bed, we have a very full garage now, but everything came with us, nothing was broken, scratched or dented, I would give 10 stars ⭐️ if I could,

Very pleased with this removal company the 2 men turned up on time and worked really hard from a two bedroom to a one bedroom 3rd floor flat, moved me within the 5 hours, very reasonable price too, fletcher was very helpful had to change the date which was no problem would recommend this company

The guys turned up promptly and worked at pace to get the job done. They moved us out of our 5 bedroom home and into our new home within 8hrs. The price to have all of this carried out was also very competitive and I believe it was excellent value for money.
