"First class service"

Occupational therapist came to visit me on Monday to see what I required and 4 days later a first class young chap came to fit my requirements, excellent service could not fault this service, the speed and the way this service was carried out was faultless

"Nauseatingly disgusting!"

My 85 year old terminally ill father in law is currently sleeping on his sofa. The bed he was "supposed" to receive, turned up as just rails and a mattress.... Sans bed! The next day the bed arrived but the rails are the wrong ones and the controls do not work.. Oh and the mattress leaks. This man is in the last weeks of his life and sleeping on a sofa... Do they even care about people. If someone had told me this, I'd think it some sort of sick joke.

"Extremely bad customer service"

Extremely bad customer service. Waiting for wheelchair over 6 months. They should be ashamed when people need them. What do disable people have to do to be classed as human beings

"What a shambles"

What a shambles. I went for an assessment to Millbrook Healthcare in July 2018 due to my health deteriation and that my present wheelchair is unserviceable due to it being discontinued so no parts are available. I met with an OT lady who I must say treated me with respect and was very professional. It was agreed that I would have a Fox chair with an electric adjustable back. This was ideal as it would fit into a new Motorbility car that I had on order. I didn't know that this was the start of a nightmare. I was told that the waiting time would be 2-3 month. As I heard nothing for 3 months I rang them in October and was told there was no order made out for the chair. I was assured that they would order it straight away. I phone 4 weeks later and was told they were awaiting the back. Phoned 10 days later and was told all parts arrived and booked in to be assembled., I was phoned by Millbrook to arrange delivery the following week. As I had not heard anything at 3.30 the delivery date I was assured it was on the way to me. No show. Phoned up and was told the engineer was sent to only service the chair I had already. Promised that they would order chair which would be assembled at factory. Had appointment to hand over chair. When I arrived I soon realised that the chair that they had was not the one agreed on as there was no electric back. I was amazed as the assessor said that he did not believe the backs are safe as the patient would slip down?? He said I needed a chair that tilted back. He showed me one which seemed k but when I contacted my fitter of my hoist they told me it was way too heavy. Email Millbrook and got reply that said I would need to see original OT. Still no contact , Seems that company is overstretched and needs to be looked at by those who employ them.

Couldn't organize one.in a brewery nearly 2 years to get a wheelchair and when It finally arrived broke within 2 weeks waited 4 weeks for part only for it to be wrong need a complete reshuffle of staff as all useless Medway branch

"My son is currently being strip washed…"

My son is currently being strip washed sitting on on a toilet without a seat, and has been for most of the year.

For the last three months, it's been because when his shower chair from Millbrook finally arrived, it was fitted with the wrong seat and was unusable. Three months later, we are nowhere nearer getting it fixed.

Today I phoned the MD of the company and spoke to his secretary. She seemed like a very genuine person and has promised to speak to the MD and call me tomorrow and tell me how quickly the right seat can be sent by courier .

I'll post here to tell readers what happens and update my rating in light of experience.

The good news is that the shower chair seat arrived at last! I have upgraded my review from a two (or was it a 1?) to a probably over generous 4. I do not know by what process it materialised, but it just did. Excellent. Sort of. My son has also just been provided with a safe, fully functioning wheelchair - that took Croydon NHS CCG CHC over a year to organise. The fact is, although he's now got a shower chair and a wheelchair, he hasn't got anywhere to live from 10:00 on Monday 3rd November 2018. One of the reasons why is the interminable delay of the shower chair and other services which have affected his mental state. I'm just including this because actions (or inactions) have consequences, and this is one of them.

"The most appalling lack of service…"

The most appalling lack of service inappropriate equipment provided. They took 4 years to change my husbands chair and he ended up with a manual one after being referred by doctor, ot physio etc for powered. I was told that he couldn’t have a powered one unless he could drive it himself. He is to impaired to manage that but they apparently do not supply attendant controlled (so he is too disabled to have a powered wheelchair) I’m a tiny lady who has to push 20 plus stone with her everyday. the nhs care agency pulled out of taking him out because their staff big males were getting injured. My husband cannot be left alone I have injuries and arthritis in my feet back and neck now from 15 years of pushing him. Milbrook will not even give him a tray. He cannot feed himself and his chair is very high and does not fit under a table. Try feeding someone a foot taller than you whilst holding a plate and using cutlery. Where is the dignity, he used to be able to feed himself sandwiches and fingerfood and have a drink on his tray. apparently they now only give trays for postural reasons, if they gave appropriate equipment people would not need a tray for posture.

"Differently broken!"

When you go to collect your chair because they can't actually delever if you work full time.
They give it back and it's differently broken to when you handed it in. At least it was obvious so I'd not even tried to sit in it!

"Collecting information with no prior consent-inrusive"

I had no prior knowledge of the company, this white van turned up on my grandmother's drive this morning and parked there for at least 5 minutes, I wasn't very suspicious of it as I thought someone would knock on our door and advertise the company, instead the driver stayed in her van taking notes of the surroundings, by the way my grandmother has no contact with this company at all and isn't currently in need for special mobility services. I found this activity quite disturbing and intrusive.

"Yes i know i had a brand new midi…"

Yes i know i had a brand new midi powerchair not long ago but i understand that with brand new batteries in they can be faulty but no-one would know at the beginning . Well mine was and instead of getting 16 miles out of them i was only getting nearly 4 before battery lights was on orange ( panic mode sets in then ). Well phoned up plymouth branch. Explained the situation to them. 2 days later they turn up in the afternoon just after 1 pm which was when i asked if they could arrive as had hospital in the morning and they fitted 2 more brand new batteries so a big thank you to all the staff once again at the plymouth branch of millbrook and well done to you all.
