These bands take a LONG time to soften up and become easily usable. They are pretty rigid when new and do take a few weeks with daily wear to loosen up. The clasp started out feeling solid but after 2 weeks now, it feels cheap and so sloppy/loose that the pin is now hard to line up with the holes in the band. For now I'm going with 3 stars only because the material FEELS like it will hold up and last but only time will tell. Either way, I think 3 stars is fair as long as things don't get any worse. If it does, the three bands I purchased will be returned and I'll look for another brand for a replacement

I've purchased a Ritche Band in the past. Recently, I purchased another band from some seller on Amazon. It was not a good band. I remembered Ritche, and looked them up and ordered one. I needed a good sport band with a good strap retainer that would hold well for exercising and swimming. It works great, and it comes in two lengths so you can customize to your wrist size. Next band I need will be a Ritche!
