"Energlaze Solar Panels customer review"
Roy from Energlaze came to visit my house and gave us great advice on how we should go about setting up our 6kw solar panel system. We are looking forward to the install date in a few weeks. Roy was so transparent and gave us a very good understanding of how the system will work in our house. Excellent customer service

"EnerGlaze Windows"
I've used Energlaze to replace all my 40 year old teak windows. I found their service flawless. When I first emailed them about a quote they informed me of high volume of enquiries and their approximate response time. They kept to the outlined schedule and in the end fitted the new uPVC windows a few weeks earlier than anticipated. The windows are remarkably solid and heavy duty with s different colour outside vs inside. I am very happy with the quality of the product, their sales person Tommy and their fitting team who travelled from Mullingar each morning. The installation took 4 days and the whole job, from first email to completion, took three months and a week. I would certainly recommend them for window installations.

"Not happy"
This is just a start of a review. I have had a very expesive system installed and I'm not happy with the final electrical installation. I have contacted the guy who I dealt with and after a week waiting I have still not had a reply! They never sent out a technician to look at the site so I sent them drawings, images and a walk through video to explain, it was agreed that it would not be a problem but when the electricians arrived they refused to put the batteries where I wanted them and I now have a system where I cant add to them and it has been put in a cluttered cupboard. I'm not happy but waiting for a reply! If you saw the quality of the work you would laugh. Alan. Portacarron. Galway

"I paid deposit for PV panels to go on…"
I paid deposit for PV panels to go on new extension, building work was slow but when finally ready to go I contacted salesman for date for install. H e promised to get back to me never did. I contacted Dublin office the lady informed me she couldn't give me a date as they had no installers in our area. Still waiting for deposit back almost two weeks after cancelling . Very poor service BEWARE

"I had windows replaced by EnerGlaze in…"
I had windows replaced by EnerGlaze in February this year 2022. I have issues with the windows which were not sealed correctly, in fact most of the seals have fallen off. I am constantly emailing EnerGlaze and am constantly being told a fitter will call soon to fix any issues, but now to add insult to injury, they are ignoring me. It would not be a very big job to sort these problems out but it looks like EnerGlaze have no intention of coming back. My advice to anyone thinking of having new windows fitted by this company. Find someone else who you can trust.

"Solar Panel and Window installation"
We went with Energlaze to get Solar Panels and windows installed. They mis-represented the overall cost, turned up on separate days to install the electrics and panels, and then it was on me to discover they hadn't been wired correctly and chase them to come out and resolve.
I'm still chasing them to complete their paperwork (6 weeks later) so I can claim the SEAI grant, and their installers chose to lay the panels out differently to their design team. Who was right on the optimal layout...?
They have 2 stars instead of one because the panels are now working well. Docked 3 for the smarmy sales person, lack of quality control (would your gran have noticed 4 of the panels weren't generating power!?), slowness to respond, lack of co-ordination between their various teams (arriving on different days, disagreeing with each other on layout, not replying to emails, slowness if they do reply)
Strongly advise looking elsewhere - and make sure you have a formal itemized quote with overall totals confirmed before doing anything with them if you still decide to work with them.
Will update this review over the coming weeks if anything changes.
UPDATE (November - Panels were installed in July): Windows and doors have been installed. They say on the website they'll lay down dust sheets and clean before leaving, that didn't happen. We had to hoover and clean the inside, and they left debri including used mastik (or equiv) containers in the garden
We needed certs for our BER rating, turns out their windows are C rated, with one of the doors D rated. One of the windows was damaged during install - they did come out about a week later and replace it.
The back door however isn't sealed correctly and letting air in. We're trying to get them to finish / fix it, no update as yet.
On the plus side we, as of today, have everything we need to finalize our grant for solar.
Docked to 1 star for yet again having to chase them to complete work due to the issue with the door, the low rating on the windows supplied, and the mess they left behind despite promising not to do so.
Please check the energy ratings before purchase and make sure you're okay with them, and again triple check and verify pricing.
My advice is obviously to go elsewhere if you can.
Last update - leaving above as a time for reference I guess:
They did repair the back door. However since I also uncovered another issue whilst working through the paperwork for the grant - that the panels installed had a throughput of 3kWh instead of the 3.2kWh that was proposed originally. They tipexxed over the forms presented to me on the day, and never mentioned this until I raised it with them. They're currently "investigating".
Advice remains to go elsewhere - please get everything confirmed specifically in writing, including pricing, products and model numbers if you continue with them.

"No response to online application"
On 13th April I applied through Energlaze for the OneStopShop promotion that Energlase were advertising. As of 29th July nobody from Energlaze has contacted me yet even about a consultation! I hope to be able to increase the experience rating but this is a really bad start. They should not be seeking applications if they are unable to address them.

"Poor communications aftersales but good installation."
Energlaze replaced the wooden front door with a composite door as part of an energy upgrade in March 2022. The installation was on time and the installer gave very helpful advice on the options. The low rating is for POOR AFTERSALES SERVICE. The door locked solid due to a faulty lock, it was reported to Energlaze on 27th June who stated the installer would be in touch. We have heard nothing from Energlaze since ( it is now the13th July), apart from an email stating the installer had been informed. All I can get from a 'phone call is an answering service to which they do not respond. We have been unable to use our front door for 17 days now!
Update 19 July, after 22 days with a permanently locked front door: Despite a promise via Trust Pilot from the "Energlaze Management Team"
that they will be in touch we have still heard nothing! They cannot even be bothered to talk to us.
Update 21st July after 25days without being able to use our front door, at last it has been fixed. I have increased my rating to 4 stars since they eventually repaired it. The biggest problem, as with many suppliers, is lack of communication. If they had said it would take at least 2 weeks to do it because of Covid, their workload and staff holidays, we would have understood- at least it was in their schedule.. The actual installation was good, would recommend to others.
