"I scheduled transport 8 days in advance…"
I scheduled transport 8 days in advance from Fl to DC. Mick (sr. specialist) emphasized that this is a common route and easy to schedule. He claimed I would be notified at least one day in advance of pickup and one day in advance of drop off. He also stated that the pickup location in Palm Beach Gardens could accommodate even the largest 75' transport carrier.
He further (and repeatedly) emphasized that the drivers were very familiar with DC and knew which roads in DC could handle the 75' carrier and which parking lots (i.e. Home Depot in DC) they would pull into.
WELL IT WAS ALL A LIE. We waited all day Sunday for a call about pickup on Monday. I called Nexus 5x on Sunday for updates but they had no new information. And we did NOT get a call till Monday - 30 minutes minutes before pickup!! Not a lot of time to prepare especially since the driver said the car needed to be brought to a main road. So I had to drive out to meet the truck and then Uber back.
Then I was told drop off would be Wednesday or Thursday in DC. So my Daughter-in-Law (DIL) canceled all appointments for those days and arranged to work from home. Well, again - another lie. The driver called at 9PM Tuesday night and said he does NOT deliver in DC. NEXUS had LIED. He said my DIL needed to meet him an hour away in Virginia at 10PM. There was no way she could do that as she had two sleeping toddlers and husband was away for work. She ended up calling a minor acquaintance in Virginia, begging them to do her a favor and meet the truck, and had to pay him $100 due to late hour and inconvenience. This person (who is a mere acquaintance) agreed to it, and when the car was off loaded - they called my DIL to pay the balance due via Venmo.
Now, of course, my DIL needs to Uber out to Virginia for another $60.
SO NEXUS LIED:
*ABOUT BEING NOTIFIED A DAY IN ADVANCE REGARDING AM OR PM PICKUP AND DROPOFF
*ABOUT PICKUP AND DROPOFF LOCATIONS
*ABOUT THE DROPOFF DATES.
I spoke to them daily during this stressful time period and each time they were rude and unhelpful. And Lily - the manager- was useless. This applies to both their customer service and dispatch extensions. I asked for a discount to compensate us for the Uber rides as well as having to pay someone in Virginia to pick up the car. They hung up on me.
AVOID.
