I have never had to use a debt collection agency before and having had recommendations for some companies found that the majority out there all they wanted was money from us before even entertaining the case, which i wasn't fond of. I happened to have a marketing email drop into my inbox from Darcey Quigley & Co, so decided to give them a call. after speaking with Joseph in the first instance found him very informative and put my mind at rest explaining that money shouldnt really be handed over before any action or advice is given or taken, and that they work on a no win no fee basis, explained how the charges work and how the case will progress. Following the call I decided to do my due dilligence and read some reviews on both trust pilot and google, there were a number of 1 star reviews, but they seemed to related to debtors as opposed to clients using the service to reclaim unpaid bills. This was questioned and confirmed as being the case by both Joseph and again by Pamela who handled the case. Pamela was amazing and kept me in the loop from start to finish (which was only 4 days as well) from start to finish i felt supported, fully informed and they maanged to get a result in a very short space of time.

I am hopeing that I don't become a regular client of theirs as isnt a nice situation having to chase debts from clients i have sepent time building relationships with over time, but if i ever do have a need to call upon a debt collection agency again i wouldnt hesitate to reach out to them for their sevices.

please note this is a gneuine review, so any doubters or anyone listnening to the 1 star reviews, these are angry people who have been chased due to them not paying their bills and not reflective of the services provided to honest and genuine people in need of support when chasing bad payers.

I ended up calling and getting the money myself from the client. Some woman rang me up demanding I pay the £120 plus the vat fee even though it was me who sorted things out in the end. She threatened to sue me if I didn’t pay. I realise they have overheads. Considering I did the work as well to get my money I feel 50/50 would’ve been better. Instead I paid all of the fee because I didn’t want the headache. I’ll be avoiding using these guys for sure if the need to use an agency comes up again.

Edit: I do not feel your actions helped in any way. I had to call the clients brother and lean on him. He ended up giving his brother money to pay me. He had no money to give me. Not that you’d need to know this. Your service did not help me out in any way shape or form. FYI what you said was not an apology. It was a justification. The service you provided was sub standard and your team is arrogant enough to believe they do a good job.
