The whole team is amazing, lovely atmosphere when you walk in. Everyone is super friendly & welcoming. Knowledgeable experienced staff who make you feel at ease. I've been visiting the Muse for all my skin care treatments & facial tweakments since around 2021.

Sarah is fabulous and has transformed my skin, results aren't immediate but trust the process, she knows what she's doing, the range of treatments and products they offer are great.

Chantelle is fabulous when it comes to injectables, always upfront about what's achievable Always been super happy with the results.

Highly recommend!

Nurse Tanya and nurse Charlie were absolutely fabulous. I’ve been back for a few treatments now they make you feel at ease. It must be to do with their nurse training that I would never go anywhere anywhere else.X

"Go see Sarah!!…"

I’ve been having regular facials with Sarah since January and I suffer badly from Roscea. She has managed to get this under control and my skin feels amazing.
Anyone who has had a treatment with Sarah knows you have the best naps ever and wake up feeling completely relaxed and pampered.

"The best! "

I have been coming to The Muse for a couple of years now and truly wouldn't go anywhere else, even if I moved from Essex, I'd make the trip back just for them.
They are trained medical professionals, providing safe injectables and care to us girls and guys that want to make tweaks to our appearances.

They are ALL so lovely and friendly and every visit has been a nice experience.

Over the years, I have been treated by Nurse Michaela, Nurse Chantelle & Nurse Liz but wouldn't hesitate to book in with any of the other girls if they were not available.

Highly recommend!

PS. Big shoutout to Nurse Liz the lip queen and Nurse Michaela for making me feel like I was at a photoshoot today after receiving lip filler to get the perfect photo of Liz's work. You made my day :D

"Review "

I have been coming here for many years and I have always had the best experience. I only trust this place to touch my face, I love how honest they are to what you can achieve. I met Sarah last week and she has helped me with my skincare and I have booked in skin pen sessions with her to tackle my scarring. She is lovely and look forward to the process. Michaela, Chantelle, Charley, Liz I have seen many times for injectables and I cannot recommend them enough.

"Beyond happy with my visit to The Muse!"

I was lucky to book one of the model slots for treatments at The Muse and was looked after by Tania and Michaela.. their care and attention to detail is faultless. I was really nervous before going in but within a minute my nerves were gone, they both explained everything so professionally and in depth I was put at ease immediately. I was blown away by their experience and knowledge and I’m so pleased I chose them to carry out my enhancements. I originally went there wanting chin/jaw/nose fillers and then Michaela explained why this wouldn’t be her recommendation for me and what the alternatives were, I am THRILLED with the results! We went for subtle tweaks to my cheeks/nasolabial folds/lips/top of nose. They are both so gentle and kind in their way of working, on a pain scale it was 2/10. These ladies really know how to do natural changes to make the most of your features. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to friends and family and I already can’t wait to try their other services! Thank you so much! X

"Faultless experience at The Muse"

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Muse Medi-Spa, and my experience was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and beautifully designed clinic put me at ease. Everyone I met at The Muse was so friendly. Michaela's expertise and knowledge were evident as she took the time to thoroughly assess my face, ensuring the treatment was tailored specifically for me. What truly stood out was the sense of safety throughout the entire process, making my visit not only effective but also incredibly comfortable. The results of my treatment are perfect and I am so pleased. I highly recommend The Muse Medi Spa for their professionalism, inviting ambiance, and the expert care provided by Michaela. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

"TWO WEEKS later I was finally told by…"

TWO WEEKS later I was finally told by Michaela that the results I wanted were not “harmonious” with what she wants to provide. She said she was busy with family & wanted to reply to me properly, although had been posting on her personal Instagram videos advertising skincare etc. What she said confused me even more as all I wanted was a very natural *normal* looking result. The results they post is exactly all I wanted. In my consultation she never said anything about what I wanted being different to anyone else. I’m not being difficult here, I had genuinely still not been given an actual reason why they were refusing me.

So of course I replied again asking what she actually meant by this, but was ignored after she said the situation was “closed” in her last email. I truly believed there was another reason why or there had been a huge misunderstanding & I was absolutely correct, but they still hadn’t told me just yet. So I accepted that I’d have to go somewhere else for it, but I still wanted to book in my Botox and a skincare consultation with them regardless of this as they are convenient for me. However I asked 4 times in my emails & Insta regarding this but was ignored about it. While again they continually post to their insta.

It took 3 emails & 3 Insta messages over a whole month to finally get a different response. Being told now that Michaela believed I was demanding/pressuring & that I repeatedly questioned the reason for the treatment being declined. While saying NONE of this in person or emails. So firstly, in no way was I demanding. I really am a polite person and softly spoken. I said I was so desperate to get it done that if they couldn’t help me I’d possibly have to go elsewhere yes. After everything was explained to me I fully accepted why it couldn’t be done & that’s why I went straight to have them dissolved the next day after confirming Michaela would see me again!!! I made sure before I left to clarify several times with Michaela that she would see me once I’d had them dissolved to re assess. She assured me she would & I thanked her multiple times saying how much I appreciated our consultation and looked forward to seeing her again. I also would never pressure anyone into doing anything. I only wish that I had recorded this conversation so I could prove that. The reason I questioned Michaela a few times is because I genuinely wanted to understand fully and what had gone wrong with my eyes, surely that’s normal?

I’m in shock to be honest. I have also been nothing but polite the whole way through as my emails & Insta messages will show, they are simply saying I’ve done things that I haven’t. I feel there has been such a massive misunderstanding here. This seems possibly down to a personality clash & I can only add that to refuse me for all treatments because of that, when I did nothing to warrant it is very wrong & extremely unfair. I’m not being dramatic when I say how upset I’ve been over this & have been in tears. I really hope Michaela actually reflects on this for her own benefit. Sure, they reserve the right to refuse treatment to who they want, but it’s evident how unprofessional this has been. Now I’m left with two hollow under eyes (which is worse) as I’m too worried to currently trust anyone. I’ll be interested to see if their response is different or if they have more to say. An odd thing that is worth mentioning is that in the emails she signed off as “Michaela” but in the Instagram message as “Mikala” which is clearly not a typo, so I’m unsure if I was even speaking with her the whole time.

While I was there I asked if I could have Seventy hyal as I’d been wanting it for a while. I knew that 2 treatments were needed but that even after one you usually see a difference. Mikayla told me that is not the case and anyone claiming they notice a difference in one session is down to “light trickery” her words. So then came my shock when a photo was posted of someone who had ONE Seventy Hyal treatment & saying what a difference it made! I was then blocked.

"I have to do this in two separate…"

I have to do this in two separate reviews because it’s too long. I’m honestly so sad to be writing this review. It has upset me so much and I still don’t understand why this has really happened. This review is not about the actual work of anyone at the clinic, but I truly believe that if you are treated wrongly then you should voice that.

I have quite a long back story to why I’ve ended up here but basically the short version is that I had my tear trough filler done last year 2022 at a different clinic and although it didn’t fully fill out (as I have very hollow under eyes) I was very happy with it. It’s the perfect treatment for me as I have very natural hollow under eyes. I then went somewhere else for a top up early this year 2023 as the clinic I used previously had shut down and the other one they had was too far for me. Unfortunately the person that did it this time did not place it correctly and left me with it looking worse than before. After this I tried to get in touch with my previous injector from the very first time to hopefully sort it out after I found out she’d actually gone independent from the clinic and was now closer to me, but as I’d gone elsewhere since she didn’t want to help me.

So I searched high and low for a reputable place that I could have full confidence in and wanted to go with someone with a medical background. When I came across The Muse Medi-Spa By Essex Cosmetics I was delighted and thought my prayers had been answered. I booked in for tear trough on Oct 5th 23 with Michaela as I knew she was the owner of The Muse. I had also made a previous appointment before with them in March but my partner was very ill and then died, so I had cancelled it and they said they’d hold my deposit which they did. When I arrived I explained everything to Michaela about what had happened and my predicament. I said to her that I was absolutely desperate to get it sorted as even though it doesn’t look very bad it still affected my confidence a lot. I said that I’d probably end up going somewhere else if she couldn’t help me as I was so desperate. Michaela was very nice at the time and explained to me exactly where the filler had been placed incorrectly, she told me she would not do the treatment as it could make it worse. I really listened to what she said as she is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in her profession. I really appreciated her taking the time to explain this all to me and fully accepted what she said. She said to go back to my previous injector to get them dissolved because they would know how much to use, although she could have done it herself. Only then would she re assess me and hopefully then I’d be able to get them re filled. I made sure to clarify with her at the time not once but three times that she would see me again once I had them dissolved. I was also refunded at the time even though I was happy to have to carried over.

So I immediately got on to my last injector and booked in for the next day to dissolve. I even called The Muse to let Michaela know I had decided this but she didn’t call me back. I then called The Muse a few days after I’d had them dissolved hoping to get my re fill booked in for around two weeks time. I was also told there was a note on my account saying “needs dissolved first” which was obviously correct and I was told that Michaela would call me back. I then received a phone call from another person from The Muse who told me that I would not be able to be booked in because Michaela had said they were not the right clinic for me. Obviously I was very confused by this and was told to email if I wanted to discuss it further.

So I emailed asking what the issue was, only to just be told by Michaela,
“I I feel we are not the right clinic for you, I would encourage you to reach out to the practitioner who you originally went to and were happy with” although I had already explained why I was going elsewhere. I sent another email asking for clarification and asking for a proper response, it was very odd and did not make sense.
