"Last minute changes"
I was not mentally prepared for all the last-minute changes, I felt comfortable with my assigned surgeon whom I had researched, the with very little notice this was changed to another surgeon who I knew nothing about. 5 days between procedures seemed excessive.

"Everything was perfect, except ? "
Everything was perfect , hospital staff , follow up care , and accommodation were all excellent.
2 issues , first , I had to go back 3 times to get my stitches out because they kept missing them. Since I ve got home I’ve realised there’s still 3 stitches in my head .
2 nd issue , or concern . It’s now 10 weeks since my op . It’s my partner’s opinion that the fat transfer under my eyes has not been done as per operation discription .
Everywhere else looks better except under my eyes .what can I do about that ?

"Knowledge is power and key"
I went to Destination Beauty for a BA. I had been to an NZ surgeon for a consult so that I knee what I could get. Had all my questions answered and had all the info. DB were there at the airport waiting for me which took the stress out of it. The hotel was beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
You get a slip under your door at night advising of the plan for hospital pick up.
In hospital, the consult is about 15 mins and I'm pleased I knew what I'd wanted as I emailed that ahead of time and told them what I wanted. Belle (translator) was there and able to communicate on my behalf as I had paid for over 400. I went with the biggest they had on hand which wasn't the biggest I could have gone. I have given them the feedback that sizing conversations need to be done at time of admission so they can get the sizes in if not on hand or at least for the 400+ clients.
Love my new girls. They look really natural. Would happily go back to DB

"They don't care!"
The whole experience has been horrible, I wasn't listened to and told my swelling was normal I ended up needing emergency surgery because my incision started leaking, no one checked in when I returned to AUS until I complained. 2 hospital's here in AUS, had to fix the mess they started, and since I have asked for a refund they are now trying to tell me there is unpaid bill for the emergency surgery and blame me for the infection! Avoid at all cost, it isn't worth it. They haven't responded to any of my emails now. So I will make sure everyone knows, the horror stories they seem to filter out of the Facebook page.

"I loved it but i wont sugar coat. Part 1"
I'm raw say it how you see it type of person.
For starters the rep I ended up with was useless. Her communication skills leaves alot to be desired. When you are trying to organise an overseas non face to face surgery with a Dr you are anxious enough - you rely on your Rep to get you thru. Mine gave me false and misleading info I found out upon my consult at the hospital. Sure i was apologised to but then swept under the carpet. I wouldn't use her again. Simple. She was always hitting us up when money was involved or trying to upsell but wasn't so quick any other times.
I had issues with my banks and payments. This was NOT DBs fault. My banks were wary and had redflags so my accounts were blocked more thsn once. All was well so don't be stressed about that. DBs account is thru WISE and safe.
27.2.24 Airport arrival and pick-up went great. Friendly female driver. Nice lady.
Arrived at accom. Everyone was lovely and we were taken to the room.
Room was and view of Bangkok.. Large clean room with washing machine, dryer, drying rack (clothes hoist or horse) cleaned daily. Kitchen.
28.2.24 DB transport bus to the hospital for pre op tests. Bloods xrays etc fast and efficient. There is a cost. Not covered in surgery payment. It's not much but be aware that there is one so take $ or card. I was sent to a GP in the hospital for me to tell them I'm OK. I told her " yes, I'm fine. Nothing wrong with me" she said " OK you're fine, bye" that had a cost. I didn't whinge it is what it is but you start to worry about all the little extras. Again, all good though just on guard.
29.2.24 taken by bus at around 8.30am to hospital for surgery. Was told to fast from 7 or 8am. Arrived at hospital and had needle put into my hand ready for surgery. Was taken upto my room. Hospital is beautiful. Clean & big. No real friendliness up there at all. Put it down to communication barriers maybe. I had my support person so I felt OK. They then told me my fasting didn't start till lunchtime as my surgery was 9.30pm a bit odd for us Aussies but hey I took it all on board because I was in Thailand and appreciated their ways. I was so excited.
My lovely surgeon arrived at about 8pm I think for the only consult. It was here I was ready to cancel. My rep had not given me proper info and I was devastated. My forehead lift was NOT included like i was led to believe another $4,500 that I didn't have. I did have credit card so felt ( it was witnessed by others) that they were almost forcing me to pay. My cc card wouldn't work (thankgod) so I was highly distressed and panicked. Also my chin lift wasn't included in the price. So I needed to cancel my liplift use that money and emergency money to pay for that. It needed to be done and was a huge factor in having a full facelift for me. So it was important. As it turned out I couldn't have the forehead lift due to my hairline. However, they actually see your pics etc months prior so this leads me to believe 1. The Dr doesn't really see your pics you send over or 2. They don't care or 3 just skim over them.He would've seen this clearly. Once he clearly explained I was still devastated but understood and was grateful. However another type of forehead lift could've been done but because I thought I'd paid and had it already included and hadn't I didn't have the extra thousands. The Dr drew a line near my ear - the only line drawn on me during consult which I found odd. Again I trusted the process. Surgery happened. All went well got back to my room at 3.30am. Now the actual aftercare in the ward post surgery was absolutely non existent. Nothing like I hear from " some" others. My support person done EVERYTHING. She caught them sleeping on the floor when we couldn't get their attention. I asked to get out of bed later in the day and was ignored. I never got out of bed till the 2nd of march. One nurse would say wait and I ll be back, other nurses ignored me. I was told not to shower alone yet they wouldn't come and assist. O e nurse THREW my towels on my bed and said " do it yourself" and left the room. I never needed them apart from those things. I'm nit a needy desperate wanting patient so it's not like I overworked them. Hospital charged for " extra" foods that I know I didn't order. I shut up and paid it to be glad to get out of there as I was still waiting any sort of aftercare. Don't get me wrong Nurses apart from towel throwing nurse weren't horrible or rude but certainly not helpful toward me. Not in any way. Again I ignored it. Not worth my time. Back at motel another lovely room. Breakfasts were great as we all started coming g together and talking supporting exchanging stories numbers etc afternoon teas were great - go to them!
More alarm bells when the lady who was working for DB told us all in the lobby when it came up about lack of nurses aftercare that the nurses in Thailand don't work at 3am it's their culture (lol what bullcrap)

"Staff including hospital & hotel were…"
Staff including hospital & hotel were all very friendly and helpful. My rep could have been a bit better with her communication. Otherwise a pleasant experience all round.

"I just had plastic surgery done in…"
I just had plastic surgery done in Thailand with destination beauty. I had a full breast lift and also liposuction from my knees up to my upper abdomen. I found the service and level of care. Very good. I did travel on my own but never felt alone. I could recommend having surgery with, beauty as they are very experienced and have done so many before and I got to meet some wonderful people along my journey .

"Wonderful "
I had a lovely experience surgery wise, I have nothing to fault. The only thing I struggled with is the language barrier in hospital. With the nurses not understanding English made it more difficult to get aid when required.

"A positive, professional experience"
From the first inquiry to 'Mew' to leaving after my arm lift surgery, everything went smoothly and as expected. The hospital was clean and I had an excellent room. The pre op measures were very thorough, my doctor- Dr Angkana, was excellent as was the anaethestist and the nurses- particularly nurse Aom. All very professional and helpful. Somerset Park hotel was a pleasant and comfortable place to stay at for recovery with spacious rooms with everything you need, good breakfast daily, good facilities if you want/ can use (eg gym, pool) and the most beautiful, friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Mew for all your prompt, informative replies which ultimately led me to undergo this procedure for which I am very happy with.
