The customer service when it’s time to go on your trip is the best experience I have had while traveling. I was checked in and sent my mobile pass when my airline app wasn’t working, notified of my delay almost before the airline put it up on the board, and told how long it would take me to get home from the airport when I landed. I felt like I had someone paying attention to my every travel need.

So Lola support is always attentive in checking in. The platform is also nice and easy to manage business travel.
But in my recent travel experience, I was disappointed with the Lola service.
My flight was delayed and then canceled. Lola alerted me and they called Jetblue to check on the issue, but nothing really happened.
The agent helping me said he was checking on it and also checking hotels.
He then told me there was nothing they could do and I had to spend the night.
From his phrasing and my expectations of the service, I thought he would have booked a hotel or at least offered suggestions, but none came.
When it came time to check for a hotel to sleep that night, the Lola app would not show me hotels near to the airport - the address I was putting in. It also didn't clearly tell me how far from the hotel it was. So I had to compare the addresses back and forth on my directions app.
When I finally asked the Lola agent, they said the closest was an Econolodge and it had decent reviews. So we booked it, tired and desperate.
Econolodge sucked and was gross. And I don't blame Lola at all, but I wish I had had a better warning.
Then our new flight got canceled that same night. So we were put on a 9PM flight. Lola did not try to change us to an earlier flight claiming they were all booked.
I should have checked because...
The next morning I asked Lola to try and put us on a 644 that seemed to have open seats. They said we would have to pay a $75 fee. So, I took matters into my own hand was able to get us on that flight, without the fee.
Now thinking back, I wish I had taken matters into my own hand the night before because I think i could have gotten us on an earlier flight like the 3pm.
I kept checking back in and calling Jetblue and got us on a 5pm flight even. It was delayed again but still. And this was at no extra charge.
I was able to do this faster than what the lola agent was getting back to me.
Maybe I was naive but I thought Lola had a special number they called or something to help with this. Now I see that I am better off just taking care of things on my own.
I like the Lola support team a lot and I think they are trying to help, but if I can do things myself more efficiently I'm not sure why I would use it again or rely on the platform.
