"Avoid unless you like waiting for things that never arrive."
If I could give 0 stars I would.
tl:dr ordered 3, received 2, 1 was 'an alternative'; wrong refund.
Horrible experience from start to finish.
I don't often buy things that are advertised on Facebook but I had been looking for some summer dresses for a holiday and the dresses on this site looked lovely. The website looked reputable and I did the usual feedback checks and everything seemed above board.
So I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer that was advertised, picked out three dresses and paid the full whack for speedy shipping. I paid with Paypal (and I'm VERY glad I did) I got an order confirmation via email in a minute or two and a shipping/tracking number shortly after. The parcel should have been sent with Royal Mail. Weirdly the PayPal receipt showed that I had made a payment to The Jewellery Channel.
A week later nothing had arrived so I rang the customer service number and got through quite quickly. The lady apologised and told me that my order had been lost by Royal Mail (although when I checked on RM website they had never received the parcel from Tamsy) and assured me that she would re-send my order. She refunded my postage and that did come through right away.
Another week passed and still no dresses, so I rang again. I'm pretty sure I got through to the same lady who apologised again and said that Royal Mail had lost my package and she would send it again. I explained that I was leaving for my holiday in 4 days time and she assured me that the items would be with me before I left.
Amazingly the following day a very small package arrived. Inside was one of the dresses I had ordered; nothing at all like the images on the website, and a second dress that I hadn't ordered. Apparently the dress I wanted was now out of stock so they had sent an alternative. The third dress was missing entirely. I rang immediately and spoke to a man who offered me a full refund. I made sure to tell him about the missing dress and he assured me that as soon as they received my return they would issue a FULL refund.
They had enclosed a Royal Mail postage sticker to send the dresses back so I wrapped the two dresses, enclosed the return label making sure to say that one dress was missing from the order, included a letter outlining the conversation I had had on the phone and took the whole sorry lot to the post office. Where I was told they couldn't take that sort of post label and I'd have to drive 60 miles to my nearest drop off point.
After a long argument with the post office lady she eventually did me a favour and took the parcel and I went off on my holidays without a dress.
A full week later I got an email from PayPal telling me that I had received a refund from Tamsy....... for one dress.
They had very kindly refunded me the dress that I didn't order and as the dress that I DID order was technically free they had refunded that too. But the dress that never arrived was not refunded.
I have passed the matter on to PayPal who are dealing with it on my behalf.
Avoid this company like the plague. It all seems very scammy to me.
