"Absolute disgrace poor customer…"

Absolute disgrace poor customer service no manager calls back they completely think the 2015 consumer credit act does not apply to them.
First week purchasing a car had issue needed new radiotor and number plate was misaligned kept cutting out .I took it to a local garage found there were a few little faults. Complained to Autolend told them.i was pulling out of the agreement, they took absolutely no notice still charging me for a car that I rejected due to issues that were obviously hidden by a garage on purpose which cost a thousand pounds to repair. They never call you back completely ignore your complaint so again you have to go to the Ombudsman how they have a good rating on here is a mystery I guess a few of us have been unlucky when there is an issue. Never will I use finance company again.

"Ignored after car fault - case now with Ombudsman"

My purchase was partially financed through this company. The initial process of arranging the finance was smooth and straightforward, with no problems at all.

However, when the car developed a serious fault shortly after purchase, the experience changed.

I followed the correct complaint process and provided evidence, yet Autolend failed to respond within the FCA’s 8-week deadline. Despite collecting the vehicle, they continued to charge interest and have not resolved the refund or compensation for the financial losses I’ve incurred.

Communication was slow, fragmented, and the process was dominated by the dealer, with little intervention or accountability from the lender. The complaint has now been escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service and reported to the Financial Conduct Authority.

If you're in a similar situation, remember that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faults that arise within the first 6 months are legally assumed to have been present at the time of purchase. Don’t let delays or confusion stop you from exercising your rights.

I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with this company keep all communication in writing and document everything from the beginning, especially in the event of any problems.

If a serious issue arises, clear written evidence will be essential.

"DO NOT USE. 7months and ongoing issues."

3months after getting my car problems started to appear. I reported them straight away to autolend and car finance247. I took the car to the warranty garage who couldn’t fix the problem. I also took the car to a garage of autolends discretion as well as having a scotia report. All of whom said the problem would have been present on purchase.

However autolend remain adamant that the problems are from mechanical work Ive had done to the car despite the fact no work has been done on the car and it remains as it was when bought from the dealership. I was given less than 24hours notice (again have this in writing) to return the car. Failing to return it in the 24hours would result in me “refusing” to give the car back despite needing it for work and to pick my children up.

All of the mechanics and specialists have confirmed that it was present on purchase in writing. The financial ombudsman ruled a decision in my favour based on all the evidence from myself and autolend, however autolend disagreed with that decision so I’m stuck waiting for a final decision.

All in all the car has cost me atleast £2000 since purchasing. The issue is still ongoing to this day and has been since early September 2024.

If you want to get a car just to get to work and back please avoid this company. The way they have handled this situation has put so much stress on my plate, financially and mentally. Not to mention them ruining Christmas because of payouts for this car.

I got a car to get to work so I could pay my bills but now I’m financially struggling. Behind on my bills. Credit rating massively affected aswell as everything else.

Autolend do not care about any of this and shouldn’t be able to get away with doing it. I’m not a company and can’t afford to be going through this process.

Whilst I believe the ombudsman will AGAIN rule in my favour and my credit file should be wiped and my costs should be refunded it’s still an initial payout process which has left me borrowing left right and centre to make ends meet.

Please avoid. There has genuinely been times in this process where I’ve been mentally tested and suicidal. I genuinely hope nobody else has to experience what I have.

"Too slow, can't finance and drive away same day as it quotes! "

Really slow at going through the application. Needed different evidence but not providing links for them. Constantly on the phone asking for them to do their job so I could progress with the application. Most stressful finance application iv ever had to go through. I'm still waiting for an answer now. It's put me off finance for future purchases.

8 weeks later still no further to getting rest of my money that was agreed by FOS!!!!
i ring constantly & the complaints team are absolutely disgraceful ignorant!!
they never reply to emails. how is this company still going????

put a default on my account & went on my credit file, was instructed by the financial ombudsman to remove all credit agreement but still eight weeks later it is on my file!
it’s a real disgrace they treat customers like this

"I got approved for finance"

I got approved for finance, but they wanted nearly £10,000 in interest, even though my credit score is quite good. On top of that, I had to cancel the finance because the car I was offered was in poor condition. Since then, I’ve been trying to contact them to find out when everything will be resolved, but the process has been frustratingly slow.

Car Finance 247 has told me that the lender, Autolend, is delaying things because they need to clear the original approval internally, which could take up to 5 days. Meanwhile, I’m left waiting with no clear timeframe. The lack of communication and speed from Autolend has made this whole process much more stressful than it should be.

"Awful experience"

Awful experience. Had a car that had serious problems and Autolend did not support it. These guys are disingenuous in my opinion. I would never recommend them

"Misreporting Account in Arrears"

They are misreporting me in arrears after a voluntary termination due to having a dangerous vehicle with preexisting faults. They have even been advised by Equivo that this is incorrect. It has been almost two months and they are simply ignoring this problem. I have never missed a payment in my life and this has resulted in me being turned away from tenancy checks, and being rejected for the simplest of credit applications.

They also tried to claim £800 for alleged "damages" to a car I owned for less than two months. Luckily I managed to get this waived.

It is disgraceful and they are ignoring this situation wholly. I will be taking this to the financial ombudsman.

"Kylie thank you "

Kylie thank you , solved a payment date burden just with emails within 1 hour. I made a phone call and ended with no direction as I had to wait for a phone back . Kylie picked my email and acted immediately giving the date that was right for me within very short notice . Autolend has been too good to me from application and to disbursement and now amendments.
