"Horrendous, unsafe, did not care"

Gareth took down our chimney, destroyed our roof causing multiple leaks, drilled a hole through the roof that means we can see daylight through the upstairs hallway, his roofer fell off the roof because there was no scaffolding or safety measures in place. Didn't finish installing the fire correctly. Refused to take rubble, even though he had agreed to this previously. Drove off at high speed when questioned about how he will put things right and we haven't heard from him since. We've contacted him and his business partner to ask for his insurance details as these repairs will cost thousands, but so far Gareth has refused to take our calls and has avoided all contact. Highly disappointed as he had been recommended by family as a good chimney sweep and he seemed to know his stuff - he's not registered with the chimney sweep association, is not HETAS registered so should not be installing for anyone and he clearly doesn't have business insurance, as otherwise he would have given us his details. He knew that we have a 2 year old child and that I am 8 months pregnant and he still left our house in a horrendous state.
