Nice product although salesman infoed me it was made in Japan but came in box marked made in Taiwan. He also informed me it had a front loading bobbin. It didn't it did however have everything I needed with it. Instruction booklet clear. Good value

"Big Craft store needed"
your Hobby craft is too small and there is not enough craft products Hobby Lobby are an USA store and so is Pat Catans.. they sell such a wonderful variety of evey type of craft.. Acrylic small paint pots 2.0 oz in a myriad of colours.. for a variety of aplications.. they are not just for picture art.. for toll painting etc.. also small wooden pieces like balls hearts squares, recantles .. cut outs plaques, wooden pieces for clock making, paper mache boxes even if thse were available on line only it would be a help.. it is very frustrating when you know exactly what you want but find it isnt stock is just SOO frustrating.. thanks for listening to my rant

"Love this machine"
Very happy with my Janome525s does everything I wanted for a very good price. Delivery was OK not as quick as first told should have been next day but arrived the day after so all OK customer service helpful all in all a very good purchase.

"Singer 9960"
Very long story but customer service was shocking and a complete waste of time, specifically when dealing with the Managing Director. Ordered the Singer on the 16th September with delivery to Hong Kong on the 10th October. They confirmed dispatch on the 17th September. After chasing them up with many emails and phone calls on the 13/14/15/16/19/20/21/22 of October they finally told me they had run out of the 9960 but would I like to upgrade to 9980. The machine eventually arrived on the 26th October. While I have not used the machine yet, everything looks good and I would highly recommend Singer but I would not recommend dealing with HobbySew.
Further to the below response: I would like to point out that I was offered a refund of my shipping expense not as a gesture of goodwill but on condition I remove this review. The value of the upgrade you provided is also not reflective of the prices on your website. The email that you have attached here is dated on the 28th October and clearly irrelevant to my order. It would have been nice to receive this apology during my 6 week order process. I have no desire to slate your company and appreciate that all businesses can have problems, whether within or out of your control. I just don't appreciate the way this all been handled.

"Sewing machine purchase"
Having browsed online for a while I finally decided on a janome..I ordered from Hobby sew as they offered a 10% discount off the purchase price, which also included a free quilting kit, so was best price I had come across. Ordered late on Sunday, received delivery by Wednesday afternoon. Only minor blip was the quilting kit never arrived in the first delivery. I called customer service and explained the situation, spoke to a very helpful customer service advisor, on the Tuesday morning, & by Wednesday afternoon the quilting kit was delivered. All round good service, prompt delivery, with the added benefit of the discount offer, no complaints.

"So Easy"
When my wife was looking for a new sewing machine we looked on various internet sites but kept coming back to HobbySew. Prices were great and the facility to ask questions online and have them answered in real time was brilliant. Free postage and our machine arrived within four working days. Only problem now is I cant get my wife off her new machine she loves it so much.

First of all I have to say I am so far very pleased with the Necchi Sofia machine that I purchased and the completeness of my order.
However having just spent quite a large amount of money, I did have some serious concerns over the delivery because the website indicates that receipt of an order is the next day when in fact mine arrived two days later. My order showed fulfilled on Monday morning and that was it. It would have been extremely helpful had I received an email stating my order was shipped and by what service, and with a tracking number.
When I used the online chat to find out what had happened to my order there was no response. When I sent an email to the managing director, the email appeared just a generic contact email to the company, I also received no response. So if you want answers about specific sewing machines on the chat, great, but about your order, don't hold your breath.
I strongly suggest the company change their delivery expectations on the website as they have no control with a delivery service. Give the client a confirmation email when an order is shipped along with a tracking number and delivery company. Eliminate the thank you email from the managing director as in my opinion this is irrelevant non essential fluff without a real person to contact.

"Very pleased"
I don't normally used a company thats not recommended from anyone off the internet, but I did my research and thought as the deal was so good, I would cross my fingers and hope for the best.
Discount applied with no problems, got an email to confirm the order and then nothing. However, the delivery man turned up about 5 days later with hey presto my new and fantastic sewing machine. So a thumbs up from me. The only thing I would say is I would have liked an email to say delivery is on its way. But apart from that, no other problems.

It was easy to order the sewing machine XL601 ams worth free quilting pack really good value. Delivery was prompt no problems. Good service. Look forward to trying out my new machine.
