"PLEASE BEWARE"
PLEASE BEWARE: I bought my car on the 6th December 2024 and by the new year had still not received the V5C from the DVLA to say I'm the registered keeper. Tom told me it had been sent off and that the DVLA have it. I contacted them and they confirmed that they had no record of anything with my car’s registration.
After chasing this up countless times with Tom, he finally sent me a screenshot (no visible date on it) and the DVLA have confirmed that the change of ownership has been now been received online – 16th January.
The car was bought with 6 months warranty. This too wasn't activated. It was finally done at the beginning of January after I had repeatedly chased this up. I was told this had been done by Tom so I contacted the warranty company to check but I was told nothing had been activated. Again, I went back to Tom to chase this up and he finally did it on 8th January.
He also sold me the car with FSH (I have a screenshot of the advert on Auto Trader to prove this) but the service book wasn't in the vehicle at the time of driving it away because – Tom said - it had been left at the garage when it was serviced. I drove to the garage to pick it up at Tom’s suggestion but it was closed. Another phone call to Tom and I was assured it would be posted out recorded delivery the next day (7th December). It wasn't. After waiting a short while I contact Tom again to ask about the service history book. He fobbed me off a couple of times again. I continued to chase it up and finally on January 7th he told me it had been posted. So we get to January 15th and it still hadn’t arrived so we contact Tom again. By this point my husband took over the phone calls as I’d been left feeling frustrated and exasperated.
Tom insisted the service history has been sent via recorded delivery on December 27th so we asked for the tracking number. He did not provide one. We chased this up again in the new year and finally on 17th January he sent me a tracking code. This code does not come up with any details on the Royal mail site so we contact him again to ask for the receipt of postage which would be able to show where and when it was posted and to which address. At present he has not supplied us with this. I have requested it numerous times. Today is the 29th January and I have still not received the service history. I have now had to apply to the DVLA using the V888 form - at a cost to myself - to get any service information held on this vehicle.
Tom has accused us of being “trouble-makers” and also has accused us of calling him at 9pm at night. I have phone records that show we did not do this. We have had to withhold our number in order to get him to answer the phone on occasions but all our calls were made within office hours.
Tom is now not responding to any messages and I'm left wondering if this car has any service history. I don't even have documentation to show it was serviced as promised before we bought it. I will be sending all my documents and evidence to Trading Standards and the DVLA.
UPDATE: 07/02 - Still no response from Tom to any of my messages. Still no service history arrived. And to top it all off, I've just discovered that the car has absolutely no engine oil in it. I was assured that the car had been checked and serviced before I drove it away therefore any oil issues would have been flagged up in the service. I have the garage details where Tom says the service took place - this is the same place that my service book was supposed to be. This is another business I will be reporting.

"Swerve at all costs"
This guy is disgraceful he hounded me when he knew I was interested in a 08 fiesta, once I paid for it I found it hard to get hold of him
Was also advertised with 6 months warranty which he said he would email to me when I left with the car he just ignored me and I never saw the warranty
I would seriously swerve this guy

"After purchasing a car for my son back…"
After purchasing a car for my son back in May which has suffered various problems since and also not receiving V5 or full service history advertised which Tom said he would 1st drop off when we went to pick car up and then changed and advised he would post, but after nothing received he would email and nothing materialised. Finally at a cost to myself I finally paid the DVLA to claim ownership of car. My surprise is that when I posted V62 1st class the DVLA responded to me within a week and not long after the new V5 was received. As anyone will know having a full service history does effect a cars price, but as this has not been received then we have no proof of any work being done and with the problems on car that speaks for itself. If anyone proceeds to buy cars from here make sure you get any documents and have someone who is knowledgeable about cars before parting with any money. Also look for other reviews/experience of dealing with Tom, wish I had! There is a pattern to the trading and lack of customer care from not answering and blocking phones, problems with cars, documentation all of which I have experienced

"Desperately disappointing experience"
Paid £200 Deposit for Peugeot 107 for my Son who had passed his driving test a week earlier. The initial experience was good including the Test drive. The business owner agreed to rectify within Eight days prior to collecting the vehicle Seven identified and agreed issues and defects, however not a single one was fulfilled, even the basic of washing / valeting the car was not done! During the week prior to collection I began to feel uneasy as a failure to reply to voice mail messages left with the business along with a failure to call me back when I was told they would never materialised. I was asked (By text message!) on the morning of collection if I could put the collection time back by 4 and a half hours due to the owner forgetting he was going to a funeral at 10.30am that morning, (I now believe this to be a clear delay tactic in order to complete the works) however I was already on my way to collect the vehicle. This after me phoning him just the day before to confirm I would collect at 10am the next day with no mention that the jobs would not be completed or the Funeral. I arrived at 09.45am (as I arrived early) and was flabbergasted to see the owner trying to fit an ariel (unsuccessfully) to the Peugeot and blame wrongly delivered parts and other excuses as to why the vehicle had not been prepared. I asked for my deposit back due to the incomplete car preparation, poor communication and total lack of genuine customer service or care .I was flatly refused and told the car would be ready that day at 14.30pm as agreed (we never agreed 14.30) and that I had broken my contract. I remonstrated with the owner informing him that he had failed to deliver on what we had agreed and on his obligations along with his total lack of customer service or professionalism, however my wife and I along with our very disappointed Son were asked to leave the premises. I was messaged an hour later saying "the car is ready to collect and has been valeted" and that If I was prepared "not to leave any reviews on the web" and to "put the experience behind me like it never happened" then a payment of £150 could be returned to me. (Gobsmacked doesn't cover it!) and hence to say the offer was not taken up. This was money me and my Wife had saved for our Son as part of his Trust fund which only adds to the frustration. I am sure the business owner will reply with a string of contradictions to my review however there seems to be a theme here with some of the other poor reviews and after reading these I feel my experience could have been a lot worse, I only wish id taken more notice.

"Forged service documents and terrible attitude "
We came to see a very clean grey/ silver Ford kuga and didn’t notice anything wrong with car so that has to be said. However the pen/ handwriting in the service book didn’t add up and when I called the garage who had stamped the book, they told me they weren’t doing timing belts in 2022 so the service book had been forged. There was also a question of outstanding finance on the hpi check but the dealer did clarify that this had now been paid off, presuming the evidence of that was not forged too. I asked for my deposit back and was met with a very hostile attitude including insulting me and hanging up on me, refusing to refund the deposit. Thankfully, Autotrader and the AA were great and contacted him at which point he agreed to refund most of the deposit but still kept money for himself despite being told to send the full deposit back out of what I can only assume is pettiness. I’m so glad to have dodged this one as if there was an issue with the car after buying it there is no doubt in my mind he would not have any aftercare at all. Be warned!

"Great experience "
Purchased a car from Tom this week, felt no pressure to buy. Easy to deal with and get hold of. Some cosmetic things with car, very minor which are being looked at next week. So far a great experience.

"Fiesta for my son"
I recently bought a car for my son from Tom at Millbury Motor Sales. As my son had recently past his test I was looking for something small, reliable & piece of mind that he would safe while on tbe road. The Fiesta we looked at was clean, tidy & looked perfect for him so we went to have a look at it. Tom mentioned that the airbag light was on due to a sensor which he would sort out before sale. True to his word he got it sorted out quickly & we purchased the car the next day. I would highly recommend Millbury Motor Sales & highly likely to buy again from in tbe future. Top marks!

"Fair and helpful"
Tom agreed on reducing asking price, upon request. New parts were fitted prior to purchase (without asking) Happy with car, despite some teething problems. Which were rectified. Found Tom to be polite, fair and helpful. Thank you.
