"Still Waiting for Money Owed - ETA Finally got paid"
We were quite happy initially that Events.com acquired Brown Paper Tickets as this organization owed us money for tickets sold at an event held in Spring 2022 and Events.com promptly paid us back for this. However, the money for tickets sold at a subsequent event held in December 2022 (which Events.com managed) is STILL OWED to us nearly 5 months later. We have repeatedly enquired as to when we will receive our funds with no response. We are now using another online ticketing platform.
ETA: Once we went public with bad reviews online, we "miraculously" were paid the money we were owed. I stand by my original review - it took a great, lengthy effort to finally get paid by Events.Com.

"don't waste your time"
Setting up the event details and processing ticket funds went smoothly, but there was no way for me to check in my guests using their emailed QR codes. The app that is supposed to check guests in isn't available on my partner's iphone and my android phone 2 generations behind was "too new" for the app. We were able to download it on an older spare but completely unable to use any kind of check-in features when logged in. I tried exporting the ticket list to an excel document on the backend of the event site like they offer, but every download would only be a blank document. I ended up having to screenshot the whole attendee list in separate shots, compile them into a word document, and cross them off as they came in the door by name. When I contacted support about it, I was just linked to an APK of the app that we already established wasn't able to check people in. That was pretty disappointing. Really good at the processing and taking your money part! The fees are so close to other more established ticketing sites that have a smoother experience, don't waste your time with events.com.

As I am using an iMac computer and have no smartphone. I, therefore, found that I had to download an invoice template. But when I filled it in to send off all the information had disappeared, so I printed it and filled it in by hand, scanned it to create a .pdf to attach to the email I needed to send.

"It was a difficult process to create an ad"
The signing in and creating part of the ad building did not work properly. It would not save correctly. Things would save and then just disappear. The parameters for loading in art were not correct for the space allowed. And, lastly, there was no one available to help answer questions or help with these issues. The canned answers really were not sufficient.
