"Horrendous service "

Became a customer as it was the company provided by the insurers. Informed someone would attend by 9pm, even after several calls to the company to confirm attendance no one attended. Called next day and Informed a plumber would be out in the afternoon and would call 30 minutes prior to attendance! No phone call. Plumber attended with a bad attitude from the start! His attitude towards what he thought was a lone female in the house was disgraceful. Then stated that he wouldn’t be doing any work without a disclaimer be signed for the damage! Explained that wasn’t a problem as we had been without water for 2 days. Said wasn’t his fault and to take it up with company prior to saying he wouldn’t be doing any work and left. Attempted to contact MW Donnelly who said there is no one to take the complaint! Delivering excellence since 1961 my arse!!

"My mum had her cooker fitted today and…"

My mum had her cooker fitted today and the 2 lads that did it sorted her boiler out aswel they did a great job and went the extra mile for her as she has recently lost her husband our dad she's been without a cooker for 4 months and no heating for a week she is is 78 so thank you guys for an amazing job from an oap in orchard park Elton

"Threatening us with legal action AFTER WE HAVE PAID"

This company is a shambles, as can be seen in the image provided, we have received a letter from Corporate Debt Recovery for the amount of £48.00 plus an additional charge of £10.00 (Debt Recovery Fee)

The £48.00 charge is for a boiler service that WM Donnelly performed at our request back in April 2024.

We paid WM Donnelly Ltd the full amount back in April 2024. We owe nothing.

We have explained this to their accounts department on no less than three seperate occasions. I again phoned their accounts department yesterday but accounts could not speak to me.

This matter undoubtedly will be resolved in our favour in the county court. After that we will seek redress for their negligence, time incurred in dealing with this matter and for the stress that we have had to endure in dealing with WM DONNELLY Ltd.

I strongly advise anyone wishing to deal with this company to think twice before doing so.

We have nothing more to say to WM Donnelly Ltd and nothing further to discuss with Corporate Debt Recovery as we have explained the situation In full to both parties and we are no longer repeating ourselves.

We look forward to resolving this matter in the county court.

"The worst company I have ever dealt…"

The worst company I have ever dealt with, several engineers were sent before they finally diagnosed the problem and told me I needed new valves which they ordered and booked in to fix, this was delayed as the engineer ordered the wrong valves. Finally new valves were fitted and later that day I discovered we had no hot water. Another call and they sent out an engineer that night who was here for an hour and a half to then tell me he didn’t know what the problem was and couldn’t fix it. After much anger and frustration I called an independent heating engineer the following morning and when I explained the problem he knew exactly what the problem was and talked me through how to get hot water until he could come and fix it. They charged me for a power flush which they didn’t complete. You should have seen the stuff that came out my radiators. They have one engineer that I know of who knows what he is doing, unfortunately several of the engineers are inexperienced and don’t have a clue. I called twice to complain and I’m still waiting for them to contact me. I immediately cancelled my direct debit for my service contract, they have since emailed me to say my boiler service is due and I would need to pay unpaid monthly instalments as my direct debit seems to have failed. I emailed them back to advise I cancelled my direct debit after receiving the worst service and yup you guessed it no response! I would think twice before using this company!

"Exemplary level of service "

Just had a dream experience with the engineer from this company
He quickly checked by boiler and had the patience to show me what to do if the pressure drops again
Although my boiler is only 5 years old and his his words is in perfect condition, pressure drop is a very common thing to happen so not only did he fix the problem, he reduced my stress and educated me in what to do if it happens again

"Liers"

We stopped getting hot water so through phoning our insurance they sent Donnelly out. The engineer was due between 8 and 6pm (had to take day off) but turned up at half 7 pm with no explanation and no prior communication. He looked at our boiler for around 30 minutes and told us that we need a new PCB said it'll need ordered and went away. A couple days after his visit our 'report' said that our boiler is beyond economic repair and that we need a new boiler. By chance we were talking to somebody about the boiler which made us turn it back on and funnily enough its working and we have had hot water for over a week now. So if the PCB wasn't working we would still have no water so we feel like we have been lied to and taken advantage off.
Disgusting that people do that to others so avoid!!

"Just stopped contacting us"

Initially fixed our boiler which died the next day. We ended up paying them to fit a new boiler. They sub contracted out to another company ( Thats what the paper work says ) who completed the job but with issues. The Gas Safe certificate was completed and signed off by someone who hadn't seen the boiler or the install.

We had measured up for new radiators and were waiting on a quote from them. During all of this the stopcock started leaking from them using it during the install so we booked them to replace it, guy came out and said 'We don't do stop cocks' and left, they then they chased us for £100 something. Called them up and after a lot of back an forth they said they would come out and replace the stopcock. That was the last we heard from them.

"Fast, efficient and professional"

We had a flood from our bathroom sink over night. We managed to isolate the water and contacted our emergency home cover provider. In the morning we were contacted by WM Donnelly who said we’d have a plumber out about lunchtime. Ross attended and was pleasant, polite and very efficient. He capped off the leak and gave us advice on how to progress the fault. We opted to go with our own local plumber for ease as they have done work for us before but no hesitation in recommending WM Donnelly who were out quickly to sort our issue (free as covered with home emergency cover).

Bath had blockage ,Ross called to say he was 10 minutes away .Arrived and sorted the blockage out in no time .Very pleasant young man .
