Harley Therapy - Psychotherapy & Counselling

"Although scary to start with"
Although scary to start with, my experience with Harley therapy has honestly helped me so much. I can’t thank my therapist Jane enough for what she has done for me.
I would highly recommend, any problems big or small.

"Session was £250 with no benefits"
The session was £250 and there wasn’t a free trial of 10-15mins to check my rapport with the therapist. Generally this is a standard procedure before committing to sessions, especially important when the cost is so much more than ordinary therapy sessions.
Also, Dr Maxine King did not help in any way, she just took my background details for the whole hour. When a session is £250, the least one expects is to have helpful tips so it is useful even as a standalone session. Very disappointed!

"Great service"
Efficient booking system. Really like my therapist after only a few sessions. I look forward to my appointment because I know I’ll feel relief after.

"Dr Vella"
I came to see Dr Vella for the first time this year in February when I tried to commit suicide because I was really stressed from university and was not able to cope with it anymore. At the time, I was really shy, had low-confidence, was depressed and was trying to avoid any social contact (I was never going to university and barely had any friends). I was also dealing with these problems for a really long time as I started having mental health problems when I was around 12-13 years old. Because of that, I thought I would never get better as there must have been something fundamentally wrong with me.
Fast forward to the present, I have now achieved a first class honours in my Master’s degree and received a job offer from a job that I would have never thought I would be capable of getting. Dr Vella helped me improve my self-confidence, my social skills and taught me how to value my own life. She also taught me how to deal with negative emotions that I used to feel really guilty and scared about and I used to turn into obsessions. Moreover, she taught me how to acknowledge what areas of my life I need to improve (sometimes it’s hard to see it for yourself) so I am now able to recognise what I need to change and start taking action towards it instead of feeling defensive and helpless about it. One example in this sense is when she pointed out to me that I was avoidant. In the beginning I was denying it, but learning how to finally acknowledge and accept it helped me improve my social skills a lot. As a result I have received a really good job offer (I used to fail because of my communication skills all the time before) and also have more friends now.
I highly recommend Dr Vella as she is a very kind and compassionate person who has helped me change my life tremendously in just a few month (less than 20 sessions).

"Dr Stephen Humphries"
Dr. Stephen Humphries is truly remarkable.
Calming, polite, doesn’t faff about, he actually wants to help. He clearly knows exactly what he talking about, and after 30 years of consultancy, he was an excellent choice.
I seriously cannot recommend him highly enough.
Day One started when I met him, I’m now back on the yellow brick road to getting my mojo back, and I will be eternally grateful to him.

"Joanna was attentive accepting and…"
Joanna was attentive accepting and particularly compassionate and empathetic.
Joanna helped me see the cat patterns of my responses and behaviours: making sense of my narrative. Joanna empowered me to consider other responses/ exits and advised on managing my payterns differently.
