I own a rapidly growing business in the renewables sector. Six weeks ago, we were completely reactive and being totally overwhelmed by new enquiries; to the point we were reticent to pick up the phone. Obviously, we needed to, and have hired new staff. Retaining AnswerConnect gave me the breathing room to design and effect that structural reorganisation. They effortlessly filtered and qualified my calls, so I was dealing with what was truly important only, which freed up so much time. They are first class and a joy to deal with. Strong recommend.

I wish I could review their service, but I never got past their onboarding stage. I signed up to get their virtual receptionist, someone who can answer my calls, take messages where required, give customers basic information, and guide them through the booking system if needed. The possibility of them even booking the job for the customer.
After speaking with one of their representatives, things seemed to become complicated. I was told my website is too complex. I am a cleaning company; how difficult can it be? However, as this is something
I was keen to get up and running, I said that we should at least try their “Trial”, which gives us a couple of months to see what is what, and we can go from there. But they were keen to pass messages over to me and not even give out the information. I did not want a messaging service, and according to their website, they are so much more than that!
The reason, and the only reason I am giving this 1-star review, is. I spent much time on the phone with their representative, who, on reflection, made the calls we had longer as there seemed to be a lack of understanding of what they could do.
I was told a call would last 45 minutes, maybe if their rep answered the calls…..
Nevertheless, I was expecting that we would get set up on trial to establish what could be done and tweaks, or if it just didn’t work, we would have known what was what quickly.
I was lost for words when I received an e-mail (actually saved me time, so small mercies) saying that on reflection taking bookings for my company may be too long and not cost-effective for me and if the call time extends as they know from experience.
I know from experience of answering calls that it takes less than 5 minutes once you know what you are doing, so it may take slightly longer to start, but that is expected.
Then the last part of the e-mail was that they wanted to thank me again for contacting them. They wished me success with the future of my business, and it was like a rejection e-mail for a job interview. I have never in my business career received an e-mail rejecting a company’s business, not even a phone call; maybe it was easier to hide behind an e-mail.
I am disgusted with how this company has gone about this, and it makes me feel that all they can do is take a message and pass it on. A wolf in sheep’s clothing comes to mind.
It may be a lucky escape for me!

Stay away from this company. They kept charging me a lot of money despite they have never been helpful for answering my customer’s calls or bookings. They just answer the call trying to spend your minutes to get your money. They sent me hundreds of pounds bills, they sent it to debt collection immediately and caused me to have bad credit score for 6 years.

We used this telephone answering service for about a year as a temporary measure whilst we were restricted from being in the offices due to Covid restrictions and whilst we moved towards a permanent direct dial teams based solution. Sometimes the messaging could get a bit lost in translation however generally the service was pretty efficient and we would receive emails with details of the calls which allowed our staff to return calls quickly.
