Picked up our Volt Kensington from our local very helpful local dealer (Doctor Wheelgood in North Walsham Norfolk).
I cycled it the 6 miles to our house a route I have taken on my road bike, however the experience was so much different, although you still have to pedal, the assist irons out any inclines you meet. It was a pleasure not a chore, and my Wife was so surprised to see me so soon after I was dropped off by her, she was convinced that I got it delivered back. 😂
Great level of spec on these bikes.
Expensive ? Maybe, but you get what you pay for. Quality product.

Love it. Great for towing trailer with dog. No more stopping for rest. Basket at front makes easier for carrying items. Would recommend it.

One week in and I'm in love with my Volt Pulse. Delivery was quicker than I anticipated and I had some convincing to do on the price to my better half. But she's very impressed.

Volt will send to the house but they give an option for delivery to the nearest dealer to you....in my case in Portsmouth. Once there it gets assembled and they ask you for any additional stuff you might want....in my case I needed a full charge. The dealers do the extensive safety checks and ensure the bike is ready to ride. They were very helpful and like Volt they were the model of excellent customer service.

The bike itself is a heavy beast , coming in at around 21kg but it's beautifully built. Every about the bike oozes quality including the rather tiny Bell. I bought the optional chain lock for the additional security on the built in wheel lock, and the phone holder.....again allvery good quality. You get an extensive but jargon free manual with the bike plus a nice Volt branded hi viz vest. It has built in LED lights front and back operated from the motor controller. You also get very sturdy mudguards for those rainy days and the rear rack for carrying stuff. I added a tidy BTR bag to the rear and some good rear view mirrors. The bike looks great.

Now to the ride. It's fantastic. Faultless. The motor has 4 settings from 'off', these are LOW, NORMAL, HIGH and POWER. The knack is using 'off' on flats and downhills, and the others depending on the incline. It's weird at first but no doubts it takes the sting out of hills.

For those who think ebikes are cheating .....well there's no assistance unless you are pedalling so you're still working out without damaging knees or worrying about having to walk the steep inclines. There is a throttle to 3mph which is useful for hill starts or if you need to walk the bike. The kickstand is robust. This bike is a joy to ride, it looks great, goes off road (where you can set the forks to suspension mode) on trails, bridleways etc. It's not for serious mountain biking though, but as a hybrid it masters all its designed to do.

Without this bike I couldn't see myself cycling again as age takes its toll, especially next to the South Downs where I live. It might even make me take the carbon road bike out again once my fitness gets closer to normal. And that's a good thing. Highly recommended on every count. Keep the fantastic customer service ethos going and keep the quality high. I'll be back soon to buy my wife a Volt Kensington 😀

Excellent communication from the team when enquiring about which bikes best suited our needs. This communication continued through to delivery. Volt found a local bicycle shop to receive our bikes and assemble them for us, prior to handing over. This enabled them to make sure that there was no damage during transit and any assembly issues could be resolved directly.
We purchased a Pulse & a Pulse LS. They are dream to ride, stunning to look at and appear to be extremely well built. We are very happy indeed.
