"Package, where are you?"
I made a purchase as a gift for my friend. I made the purchase a month ago with 2 day shipping. Almist 2 weeks ago a shipping label was created, but not given to the postal service. I have messaged them multiple times with no response. If my package is not received by the end of this week they will be getting a chargeback from my bank.
Chargebacks cost them money so I dont understand how they are still in business.

Do not buy from here, don’t recommend it.Multiple attempts to try to reach them and they don’t respond.They even block you after multiple attempts to try to reach them and tell them a problem.Then the attitude that comes with it.Horrible customer service.Find another site that sells dresses with actual decent people who sell.Companies like this won’t last long anyway.They send strange emails and texts about discount codes multiple times , but never respond to anything.

"Terrible customer service"
I’m only doing this because this company’s customer service is absolutely garbage. And they blocked me after I told them I wouldn’t change my review. I spent 160$ waited two months with no one informing anything as to why it’s taking so long and just today got told that I’ll receive my package this week. I even contacted the shipping company who told me that they had received the electronic data but never received the actual parcel. Companies like this make it really hard to trust Foreign companies. They have no sense of professionalism instead of feeling bad for their customer service being so poor they got defensive and blocked me. And to top it off They had the audacity to tell me to change my review. And that I was mistaken even tho I have proof of the shipping company stating they never received the parcel just electronic data. Sorry but no I don’t know how their in store shopping is but I don’t recommend online shopping with them at all. And whoever I was dealing with via Instagram was just plain rude. Avoid this company. And be sure to read their reviews on google not on their website.
Ps still haven’t received my package I’ve just been told that it’s coming.

The clothing is simply beautiful. Well made and luxurious. The shipping is slow BUT they are helpful in customer service. My advice is order ahead and it will arrive. you will be happy you did.

"This one star is too much"
This one star is too much. I've ordered 2 prayer outfits in January 2021. On 2nd February I got notification that my package had been posted. Since then nothing. When I placed the order I was bombarded with more discounts and free postage if I ordered more. I didn't as I wanted to check the quality. I am so glad I didn't waste ant more money. I've now requested a refund and will be taking further action if I don't receive it. Never come across such professionalism I'm so disappointed and will be more careful in the future. My advice don't touch them with a barge pole.

"Save your Time and Money"
1 star is too generous. I had purchased a few items from URBAN MODESTY back in November, and without boring you with all the details, 23 emails later -- my issue still isn't resolved. I had to escalate it to PayPal who reimbursed me after I put in a dispute.
The issues range from creating a shipping label to let you think the item has shipped out, but never actually sending anything out, to awful customer service, to not honoring their return/exchange policy, to giving you a credit rather than a promised refund after fighting with them for a month about not honoring said policy. Each email takes forever to garner a response and each response is less satisfying than the previous, "We are looking into it".
Save your time and your money. I've purchased items from many Muslim retailers and this has been by far the worst experience thus far.

Letting those who are reading this know that is the reality of Urban Modesty.
I was looking for a modest clothing line and I found Urban Modesty and decided to give it a try. At first I thought that this was the best website, at least on my first few orders. But boy, I was wrong. My stuff started to come late. I remember ordering a Maroon Daisy dress in the middle of May and it didn’t come until the end of July. I ordered some more clothing in the middle of May that still didn’t come yet. I kept on asking every place I could and they still didn’t reply. When they did reply (which was once) they gave an excuse! The worst part is I payed for these things and they still didn’t come. Almost every day they send advertisement emails to me about their clothing which I don’t care about. And I had enough of them! I’m SO unsubscribing to them! It’s not fair! And I highly recommend to not subscribe to them and buy their clothes unless you like getting your clothing late and bad customer service.

"Unethical company with poor values"
Unethical company with poor values, poor customer service. Dishonest in the way they deal with customers. Products do not match images and look very cheap.
I purchased a Royal blue abaya after seeing an ad on Instagram. The image of the product is CLEARLY royal blue. What I received is a navy blue so dark i initially thought it was black, not what I ordered at all. But that is not the only unethical thing this company is:
First, the item was listed as 50% off when I purchased it. Then I looked at the company it and it was $50 on Oct 10, telling me you raised the price just to discount it. I complained and tried to cancel the order as the company seemed dishonest but the person who answered told me it was a pre-black Friday sale, even though oct 10 is a bit early for a pre-black Friday sale. I accepted this logic even though it didn’t seem right. Then the person emailed me to tell me the size was out of stock and asked if they could send me an XL. I said no and something was shipped to me without informing me. Luckily it was a size large, but what arrived looked totally different from the site - it looked cheap, very small, and the blue was so dark I initially thought it was black. I reported this immediately but did not get a return label for three days. Had they sent it promptly I may have made their shipping cut off. They offer 14 dat returns which INCLUDE the amount of time it takes to ship back, which is unheard of and means you basically have to mail returns back right away which was not possible since the company sat on the label for three days asking stupid questions like “have you looked at it under the sun?” In the meantime. The person themselves admitted that this variation in color was too much and that the photo was likely overexposed.
I did not receive what I ordered and It is not my fault shipping is slower in the holidays. It took me a few days to get to the mail box and it was Christmas time so I guess my package made it back after the 14 day cut off. The owner of the company is refusing to give me back my cash for this despite the fact that I was sent a faulty item, and all the other things I mentioned above.
This company should be put out of business, it is so terrible!
