"Piles and piles of junk that will cause a lot of stress to customers"
I bought a range of items from Vesternet, different brands, using their compatibility advice. Some of the things I bought were impossible to set up and have either been binned or still in their boxes. The things that did set up I generally find they are of boring or limited benefit. You end up with several apps, some of which get rebranded or change or get taken over. You end up with stupid devices that offer very basic insight. Smoke alarms that, frankly, are a lot more complicated and silly than standard old fashioned simple smoke alarms. Etc etc etc.
The support I got was not very helpful. Basically they do loads and loads of brands, most of which are not compatible with each other and most of the items are cheap Chinese unreliable junk. My advice is stick to modern CCTV from well known brands, and use standard technology for everything else.
Wasted a lot of money with this company.

"Misleading Delivery Estimates on Checkout Page"
I placed an order at 12.46pm paying £8.95 extra for Next Day Courier Delivery as I needed the item urgently. The item arrived three days later, too late for me to use. When I contacted Vesternet Customer Services they refused to accept that anything was wrong with this and expected me to pay for another courier to return the item. To be fair to them the order was placed at lunchtime on New Year's Eve but the Next Day service was still marked as next day with no warning. The two concerns I have is that there appeared to be no interest from Customer Services in making it clear on the checkout page that next day does not always mean next day combined with insistence that I should not only pay extra for a service I didn't receive but also pay extra again for a return, caused by Vesternet's failure to deliver as committed. I will avoid this company in future.

My experiences with Vesternetuk have been incredibly frustrating, Unfortunately, I've had two separate instances with their services that have left me feeling dissatisfied.
Firstly, I placed an order for controllers on their website, opting for next-day delivery due to urgent requirements. Despite placing the order well before their stated dispatch cutoff time, I received an email stating that my order couldn't be processed due to "large delivery volume." This was particularly disappointing as it was a Friday, meaning I would have to wait an extended period for the order to be shipped.
Secondly, I purchased an item from their eBay store. I paid extra for DPD next-day delivery, only to find that the item was shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48. This was a service that wasn't even listed as an option during the checkout process and Customer service has been unresponsive and ignores messages.
These two instances have significantly impacted my trust in Vesternetuk's reliability and customer service.

"A smart device company that doesn't communicate"
Ordered on a Saturday 31st August. 5 items totalling £164.40 and the money was taken out of my account. All the items were in stock on the website and 4 business days have passed and zero communication from this company. First time shopping experience and I'm not impressed. This is a luxury item and yet with zero courtesy. An email would be nice. Ended up ringing twice to find out what was going on. In the end it turns out whilst the items were 'in stock' they were in Germany... And they were delayed. Fair enough but why not tell me?!?! Come on. Do better! I see this isn't the first time....

After buying several products, I had 1 compatability issue. I submitted an RMA request along with a request to substitue for an alternate product.
The return request did sit with Vesternet for a couple of days before I reached out for an update, they responded immediately, both manual email and automated emails. The pre-paid return postage was very welcome.
Upon delivery back to Vesternet (through postal tracking), another couple of days of waiting until I prompted again for an update and the responded immediately, both to my RMA being returned and the alternative product being shipped to me, all without filling in any further forms. They also included a refund on the difference in price to the products, I had not requested it, so this was also very welcomed.
I would say my experience was overall positive, it would be nice not needing the 2 prompts for progress, but the immdiate and no quarrels response makes up for it.

"Will not replace a faulty item and does not honour UK consumer protection law"
I bought a Sensative sensor strip that both Vesternet and Sensative describe as having a battery life of up to 10 years. It is a non-replacable battery. Product failed after only 4 years of infrequent use, informing me the battery suddenly lost capacity from 50% to 0% in a matter of just a few days. Vesternet refused to follow UK consumer law and repair, replace, or even offer a partial refund for the failed product. UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that products must be as described—this was clearly nothing close to the 10 year battery life that was sold to me. UK law also always requires the seller (not manufacturer) to offers 6 years of guarantee, which Vesternet refused to stand by. Do not buy from Vesternet because you will be on your own in case things go wrong.

Placed an order, as they had a device for which they advertised was compatible with my system. When I received it I tried connecting but it wouldn't, so I contacted technical support. David responded saying they didn't actually have the drivers as they were under development and they didn't have an eta for them. So I requested a return and sent the device back. I tracked the return and the device was received by them, but I had no refund notice. I contacted customer services twice over 2 weeks, with no reply.
So they have fraudulently advertised something that is not true and then not refunded my money.
Do not buy from this company unless you know you will not have to return it.
