"By far the worst company I’ve ever had…"
By far the worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. Shortly after installation on my website, customers began to experience problems paying. They either received an error message or the Yorkshire Payments (YP) portal just timed out. It went on for weeks, despite my calling and emailing, YP seemed unable to fix it and many of my emails went unanswered. I asked them to stop charges while they resolved it, no response, so I cancelled my DD. In the end, out of desperation with my business in chaos I returned to my previous ECOM supplier and continued trading with no issues. Then out of the blue I get an email (exactly 68 days after I first reported the issue). They’d sorted it all out, there was a URL missing!! What sort of company takes 68 days to realise that a URL is missing?? By this time there was no way I wanted anything to do with YP, and certainly will not ever be installing their payment system back on my website.
But I’m in a 4 year contract, and owe them over £1200, which despite their appalling service I must keep to apparently. So, they are forcing me to pay, harassing me by telephone and email threatening debt, arrears and action. Yorkshire payments don’t care about customers, and their technical support is shocking. I even contacted the MD, but he wasn’t interested either. It seems terrible customer care starts right at the top.

We had a persistent sales person called Barry who turned up on a number of occasions and was told we wasn't really interested but he continued to call and turn up at our premises. So one day he managed to talk this into a member of staff so I was asked to hear him out. So Barry explained how we could cancel the machine at anytime if it wasn't working out. So the contact was signed up once I had a little more time I managed to take a look throw things and wasn't happy so requested to cancel in less than 15 days. Guess what Barry was telling a lie your can't leave the contact. Yorkshire payments have been no help with resolving this issue and now requesting in excess of £1800 from me. I was asked to return the card terminal which I did on a signed for delivery which they are now denying receiving. It would seem there is no one part of Yorkshire payments that could lie straight in bed.

Yorkshire payments have been absolutely fantastic during (and proir to) this lockdown peiod. they contacted us to see how they could help us at the beginning and have been unbelievably helpful when our terminal failed on our first day back to trading. They are a reliable, friendly company, who provide an excellent service and are good value for money. TWe couldn't be happier with them. Please use this local company. We highly recommend them.

The service I received in installing the machine was swift with one to one training from a super friendly engineer as part of the service. The whole change over to Yorkshire Payments was faultless.
