"Celebrating 22 months with Pivotal"
Have been a customer of Pivotal for just coming up 22 months. We’re about to enter our fourth vehicle and so far the service overall has been excellent with quality of the vehicles being superb. Administratively, some of the customer service processes need tightening, that said the account management is excellent when you raise a query or require support.

"High Costs, Bad Cars, Poor & Inflexible Service"
Tagline of Pivotal : "Subscribe and drive away with the best from the Jaguar and Land Rover range. We take care of everything for you: insurance, tax, and servicing."
My Tagline would be : "Pay a huge amount for reasonably shoddy overpriced vehicles, then deal with all the problems yourself whilst we make mistakes, and don't have any flexibility"
My Experience : I sold my Q5 as it was at a good level of positive equity that gave me a reasonable amount of cash back out of the sale. My family and I are moving to Europe soon, and we needed a more flexible option we could give back at any time aligned to the move. I signed up for the lowest level package at DrivePivotal, thinking it would be a big upgrade and a super flexible service, which is £850 per month. I got a Land Rover Discovery Sport as they had no other options available at the time I contacted them, and straight away it was a problem, on delivery it was covered in marks and scratches as it was one that had a previous owner (not an issue but a bad first impression for such a high price). It was a "top of the range version", and a generally nice looking car. It may just be the car itself, but the one provided had a whole host of issues :
1. Horrendous Turbo Lag, it sounds like a banshee with a sore throat trying to move and then doesn't actually go anywhere for 3 seconds before the Turbo kicks in. This wouldn't be so bad if it was only from a dead stop, however it also does this at motorway speeds trying to overtake.
- It aso has a "Sport" setting... which makes the engine a lot louder, if you're into that kind of thing I guess
2. Infotainment system - JLR has the worst infotainment system within any major car manufacturer. The SatNav keeps covering itself with what feel like "ads" for it's other functionalities when you stop. The screen is completely unintuitive and makes it very difficult to set up the air con or vehicle controls how you want them. Within 3 weeks of having the car the infotainment screen stopped working for a short while in cold weather (which they said would be fixed with an over the air firmware update that was never actually provided)
3. General Electronics - The memory function in the seats doesn't actually remember your settings exactly, the drivers screen is great at remembering where traffic cameras are but shuts off your sound on whatever you are listening to and issues a loud beeping every time you approach a camera.... The dash monitor had scratches on it on arrival, and the system forgets what destination you were logged to if you turn off the car to refill with fuel.
4. General - These cars are extremely noisy. They do not block out outside sound very well at all. They rattle in random places and the general quality feel is terrible for what you are paying. The external wind shear noise comes through like you're driving a convertible. The seats are comfortable though I guess... Oh, and the internal door handle fell off within 4 weeks, just randomly when I closed the door.

Positives :
1. The Team are relatively responsive and try to work with what they can
2. They become very positive once they have a car to offer up and sell onwards
Negatives :
1. The service is not at all flexible and they absolutely do not take care of everything for you. I made them aware of the issues, they stated they understood but couldn't replace with another car as they didn't have any at the same level. Then they said could I take it in for a servicing as the early servicing light came on (they gave it to me with around 8k miles on it). I said just come and collect it then "take care of it for me please", and they said they couldn't that I had to sort out the servicing and the fixing of any issues myself. In the end I talked the agent into finding and setting up the repair visit as I shouldn't be impacted by the costs from the vehicle being faulty on arrival, and asked them to ensure there was a courtesy car as I have to travel regularly, and use it as a family car when I am home on the weekend. They promised me this would be done so I planned to take the kids out in the morning whilst I waited for the car to be done. Turned up and no courtesy car was booked and they said I would likely have to wait around 5+ hours. The servicing agent in Stratstone JLR was very understanding and prioritised it when I asked about it, saying they understood and would help me out - they got it done in 2 and a half hours.
2. You sign up for 3 months, and then it is meant to roll on with options to switch/upgrade/cancel. The problem is if you do switch they lock you into another 3 months. So it becomes inflexible.
3. Cars are of poor quality, and car availability is poor.
4. Horrendous overpricing. That's pretty much it, their service is £850 for an F-Pace, Evoque or Disc Sport, £1,250 for an I-Pace, Velar, or Discovery, £1,550 for a Defender or RR Sport, £1,800 for a RR.

"Great Service every-time"
I have had a couple of cars now with Pivotal and the service has always been very good. This time I tried all electric but could not get on with it and after a call with Jason, he sorted out a hybrid to give me more options whilst not wasting tax. If you want flexibility and a nice high end car with service to match, the Pivotal in the best option.

"Started back in Aug 2021"
Started back in Aug 2021. Received brand new RR Velar, top spec. Changed into a FFR Dec 2021 again a brand new car was delivered. Decided to change again into a RRS SVR which is due to be delivered end of March on a 22 plate. If you change cars regular then pivotal is the service for you. Top spec vehicles without the long dealer waiting times! Jason Seaby has been superb to deal with throughout. Definitely recommend

I returned and a month later received a damage invoice for £2000 !!!
Some of the damage was general wear and tear but complete parts replaced
Rear arm rest completely replaced because a leather flap had come out of the clip , £313 because apparently the 2 clip can not be replaced and it’s the unit . It was not broken it just needed putting back
Bird dropping ok bonnet left a small mark £150 and replaced badge £50
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU BUBBLE WRAP THE CAR BEFORE USEAGE

"i-pace and Range Rover leasing without hassles"
I have recently had two cars from drivepivotal.com on short term leases.
the experience was simple and communication was clear and effective from the outset.
I found the service much superior to dealing with JLR directly, all the staff were enthusiastic and helpful, any issues were handled quickly and professionally.
I would recommend the service as they have been really helpful during the lease periods, really went the extra mile to keep customers happy ;)
