"A positive experience"

I’m not new to recording studios so I had an idea of what to expect when I met Gary to record my demo. Gary was very friendly, calm and knowledgable and gave clear direction on how to deliver each read. The studio we used was perfect for VO along with an excellent engineer. I was satisfied with the demo we produced which I now use on VO websites.

Areas for improvement would be I would have liked to have had a short session with Gary a few days before recording as this would have given me an idea of Gary’s coaching style.

Overall I’d say that the VO Masterclass was a positive experience and I have gon on to secure work using the demo and tips that Gary has passed onto me. Also it’s so helpful to have Gary provide advice on demos since meeting him in the studio.

I would recommend the VO Masterclass to anyone interested in VO. It’s essential to have had some coaching in this business and Gary is an excellent coach.

A thoroughly enjoyable morning recording my voice-over reels with Gary & Jack. They both made me feel at ease straight away, with great tutoring throughout the morning. By the time I got home Gary had sent me my voice-over reels, and sent me an email detailing the next steps. Thank you to both - I look forward to working with you over the coming year!

"An excellent session with Gary"

I really enjoyed my time with Gary and Zeke (super sound man) on the VO Masterclass. Gary met me at the front door and I immediately felt welcome and excited to be in the Tardis-like, Vale Studios. After a chat to settle me in, I was led to a nearby sound booth by Zeke. I donned the headphones and gave my all to the mic. I read and re-read 4 of Gary’s voice acting scripts, honing them into suitable voice samples. Zeke recorded and re-recorded my stumbling efforts, then carefully edited them into suitable samples for my own voice profile page on a well-known voice acting website, which Gary and Zeke set-up for me during the session. Gary has a wealth of experience in voice acting, of which he gives amply during the class. I have no doubt he will be just as generous with his advice over the next 12 months.
