After deciding to purchase a new car, I started looking around websites and landed on buying an EV. After a bit of reading, I wanted to look at leasing as an option. As I’m a government employee, I had assumed I needed to go with a specific leasing company and when filling out a form, realised that I had accidentally filled out the wrong form on another website (Novated Lease Australia).

I ignored this error and filled out the correct form on the government’s leasing company’s website. Well… no one got back to me from the government’s leasing company but Jed, from Novated Lease Australia got back to me the next day.

What a serendipitous error! Jed was amazing, explaining the entire leasing process and answered all my questions. He helped me to understand the process, costs involved, savings and also explained that I wasn’t locked in but had a choice of leasing companies.

After some quick comparison, I decided to stick with Jed and NLA. I didn’t have any particular car in mind, just had a shortlist of about 5… but this didn’t seem to phase Jed at all - he gave me quotes and estimated payments for all of them.

I took a few days to decide and even test drive some cars and when I settled on the car, Jed was again very helpful in organising the sale and negotiation of price.

I think I changed my mind a couple of times and Jed remained patient, approachable and helpful.

The experience was by far an easy and seamless one - so much so that I encouraged my wife to purchase a new car as well (which she did through Jed).

If you’re thinking of leasing, highly recommend NLA!
