Nicely presented and nicely proportioned house in residential area of Marksey by the Sea.
There is no freezer or dishwasher in the property, which would have been useful.
Bonus having 2 en-suite bedrooms

NOT cleaned properly cobwebs everywhere lack of attention to detail when required a second clean was not done properly photos of flat very deceiving need improvement to outside lighting but amble was a nice place

"Not impressed"
Not impressed. Booked a three night stay in a property for 5 people and received a message from them to say they had to cancel it.....4 days before. This is the school holidays and I cannot find anywhere else within budget at short notice. Not only that, I wont receive the refund straight away so need to fork out more money if I do find somewhere suitable. I can see this property is for sale on right move do maybe that has something to do with it !

"Beware hidden charges for damage waiver"
I booked through hotels.com, once the booking was confirmed and I had paid Host & Stay contacted me to advise I would have to pay an additional £30 damage waiver.
This was not stated when I booked, they will not give you the code for the key box unless you pay this hidden charge.
Only alternative was to pay a £300 deposit but they only refund within 14 days and have the check to charge a £10 admin fee.

Such a lovely area, with so much help from the host. A lovely little welcome package when we arrived. I would highly recommend staying here. There was a lot of information given on the booking for things to do around the area also. Everything was such good quality and the whole place was sparkling clean. One of the best air BnBs I have stayed in.

"Told to find somewhere else to stay at 10.30 at night"
Update: I put in a formal complaint to host and stsy. They said they would respond in 5 days. That time has now passed and have heard nothing. Please don't give your hard earned cash to these people. They don't give a fig about you once they have your money. The place I stayed was huntcliffe at Ruby in Saltburn.
We arrived late Monday eve after a 12 hour journey. There were no keys on arrival. We rang the number provided. A host and stay rep answered. He asked us repeatedly if we had the right address (we did). He attempted to call the owner. When he couldn't get through he said 'you have to ring booking.com and find alternative accomodation.' I pleaded with him to help us. I suggested that as there were two flats in the same building maybe the other guests could be contacted to let us in. He said he didn't know if they belonged to them (I knew they did both belong to host and stay as had researched on booking.com and i told him this). I started to frantically knock on the door to ask for help from the other guests and the rep told me not to. He just said we had to find alternative accomodation! We didn't know what to do, we were left in the street with our kids and dog. We got on the phone to booking.com only to be met by a recorded message saying there was a 20 min delay. Eventually the other guests did come out and we're sympathetic to our situation. They let us into the main building and they discovered the door to the other flat was open and they let us in. Lying awake still stressed out from the whole experience at 2am I got a text from host and stay asking if we got in (for all they knew we were still in the street) i said the other guests let us in but we still needed a key as we couldn't leave again with our own keys. I expected someone to turn up the next morning with a key and an apology but nothing. We rang again and the phone lines were all busy. I then started asking around local people if they had any idea where any owners lived. I discovered host and stay were only based 5mins drive away in Skelton! So these people who left us high and dry were only 5mins away....I had presumed they were in London or something when they couldn't/wouldn't help! So I got someone to sit with the kids while we drove down to skelton to try and source the keys. In Skelton we met a kind and resourceful young woman who rang the owner who said he would meet us with the keys. What he in fact did, was give the keys over to my friend and then scuttled off before we could confront him. So 2 days of our visit which was to see my mum, who is sick and in a care home, was ruined by their lack of competence and empathy and we never even got an apology.
