"The visiting tailor measured me on Feb"

(EDITED) I was measured by the visiting tailor on Feb. 23. The full order didn't arrive until August, six months later, which was way too long to wait.

Although the reason was pandemic-related, which is totally understandable, I strongly believed I should have been granted a cancellation and refund. I made at least two or three requests.

My relationship with them goes back many years and I have spent a lot of money on their suits, jackets, shirts, and pants.

Had suit made more than ten years ago from Ravi. It was perfect in every way! Had the appointment with the tailor and wore the suit that had been made years ago to the measuring. The new suit came with a defect in the material and was so ill-fitting that I would have to gain 50lbs. and 6 inches in height. Cost to send back would be over $100 and they would not pay return shipping. Local tailor said alterations would be impossible Ravi fought harder than I and Citi Bank would not see it my way. Phony positive reviews are easy to create. Beware!

My custom shirts are falling apart , stiching ripping out. And I have lost weight since I took the order. So it is big on me and still came apart.

There website and phone number is disconnected. They are no longer around. Guarantee on nothing ! They guaranteed their work. but if they cna't be found , the gurarantee is worthless!

Fast handling and good quality. I would definitely recommend to get a shirt or suit tailored here! I had three days in Bangkok before my flight home and they delivered after 2. In the end I have 2 collared shirts and one suit which fit perfectly. They help you while deciding on the fabric color etc could not be better!

I had ordered shirts to be made when I was in Bangkok, the first time around 20 years ago. All of the shirts are still giving regular service, so I decided to order online. The batch of six Thai silk shirts duly arrived and I am truly pleased, the form, tailoring and fit are of the same quality which I have always received from Ravis. I look forward to another 20 years of wear from these super shirts, plus a good few years more from the old ones. 10 yrs ago I bought the best suit I have ever owned from Ravi's Tailor!!! Fast forward eleven years (life happens). I decided to upgrade my game. No more off the rack suits. Made to measure- custom for me. Couldn't be happier :) Currently I own 3 custom suits from Ravi with four on the way. Customer for life.

I don't understand the negative reviews. The main reason I see people having a problem with MTM clothing is because they get their wife, girlfriend, sister to measure them. NO!!! IF you are having a custom suit made- get the Professional Tailor who is making the Suit to measure you. Not only that- but you get to pick their brain on recommendations for your body type, style, fabrics, etc. Look at swatches.

Ravi does city tours- where they will professionally measure you in a Hotel. What matters in Suits is not the Label. Fit and fabric. Fit so it makes you look like a million bucks (all our bodies are unique- hence why off the rack stinks) and quality fabric (so it lasts).

The suits I have easily would have been 2-3 times the price anywhere else. Let me explain- many popular MTM tailors offer "Wool Blends" with synthetic fibers. Ravi does offer a few of these fabrics in his bottom collection but for the price. A person who cares can easily get the Exclusive or Deluxe collection.

My suits (will post pictures when I get a chance) are high grade wool, jacket- canvas lining, working "surgeon's cuffs", pick stitching, swiss bemberg lining, custom monogram. The pants are fully lined with cuff guards.

Ravi and Vicky in Customer Service will work with you. Customer service is excellent :) allay any concerns. With made to measure you do have to wait while they make the garment. But you are getting quality that few people have. Buy quality and it lasts.

"Thousands of dollars and I still don't have a wearable suit"

I visited a travelling tailor for this company when they were in my capital city. I did my research on their website before attending and it indicated that they had stretch cotton material for suiting. However, the tailor told me this wasn't possible and I had to select another fabric from the swatches he had. He failed to measure my legs, even though I was getting bootleg trousers, and was trying to pressure me into buying 5 suits and shirts (which I didn't need). In the end, I still ended up ordering more suits than I really needed.

When the garments arrived, the trousers were too tight and the shirts and jackets didn't fit properly either. The second iteration fixed the shirts but the suits were still a problem. Third iteration made one of the jackets worse and didn't fix the trousers.

I've outlayed thousands of dollars and still don't have a wearable suit. I asked for a refund (even a partial one) as the goods are not fit for purpose and it's been going on so long (initial measurement and purchase conducted in March 2016 - process of revision ongoing since then). However, the company won't come to the party. While my local tailor may be able to fix the issues, it will cost even more money to do this.
