Very friendly delivery driver we had a quick chat about how much is left in the tank when we get to 5% he said there is usually a god reserve of gas left even when it says empty. That's nice to know.

"Our heating packed up with sub zero…"

Our heating packed up with sub zero temperatures forecast all week. We were so grateful that John was able to attend the same day He very speedily identified and rectified the issue with our underground storage tank (damage resulting from the freezing weather) and we were up and running again. Much appreciated.

"Avanti Gas trying to rip off grandparents "

No issues with Liam who fixed the faulty regulator but Avanti as a whole are terrible. They delivered gas on 27 December and that same day(after they had delivered the gas) we started getting issues with low gas to the house, this started with the boiler then we noticed the gas on the stove had low pressure. This was intermittent but when we asked the boiler engineer they advised we go to Avanti as it sounded like a regulator issue. Avanti can out and changed the regulator, we have had no issues since. Then I received a bill for over £200, they claim this particular regulator is my responsibility???? Even if that is the case, the issue started the day they came to fill the tank, obviously they have done something that has caused the issue, yet they want me to pay for it. I raised a complaint that they just dismissed, within a few hours, and when I questioned it they just dismissed that also. I then said I wanted this to be escalated and that I would not pay the bill as I believe it was them who caused the issue and they just threatened me and said if I don’t pay they would send this to collections and pursue it down that path.

In response to the the reply from Avanti Gas, I understand the T&Cs, it’s not a question about if it states I am responsible for this particular part, under normal circumstances I would agree, my issue is that I believe your driver damaged the part when filling the gas tank, so you should take responsibility for making this right, not passing the cost to me for an issue that your company made.

"I called Avanti as our gas valve had…"

I called Avanti as our gas valve had shut itself off and I could not reset it. Ryan from Avanti came the following day and quickly spotted what had happened. We were back to normal within a few minutes. Thanks to all at Avanti who resolved this for us which was much appreciated in view of the freezing conditions we were experiencing at the time.

" Account issues which took an age to sort out"

I am very dissatisfied with the performance of Avanti. I began trying to reclaim my £400+ credit on the account at the start of December and the money finally appeared in my bank account on 14th January.

I am aware that the Xmas break slowed the process down but should it take a phone call and a number of emails from different Avanti people over December and January to get my money repaid? Perhaps Avanti should themselves contact customers with large amounts of credit to advise that they are making repayments and cutting monthly direct debits.

Finally when one uses the Avanti phone line it is obvious that Avanti don’t want to speak to their customers and there is no option that directly relates to customers with account issues. Having had experience with other energy providers I would not recommend Avanti.
