The meat products are great. Very flavoursome and a really good size. Delivery was well packaged though took longer than I anticipated to be delivered.

So far, I've only eaten the bacon from.my order. But it was utterly delicious. Bacon that tasted the way I remember, and I prefer to eat meat that has come from farmers who work regeneratively- for thr good of the planet, the animals and us all. Looking forward to trying the other items and will order again.

Pasture for life meat. We have been ordering from Ethical Butcher for couple of years now. The delivery arrived well packed and organised. Excellent option for healthy carnivore diet for us.

"Recycling packaging service"

I've been a happy customer for quite a while now, but a few months back I saw the free return packaging recycling service was no longer being offered, and no real explanation why given on the site, only that 'other options' were being looked at. I sent back my packaging anyway, paying for the postage myself.

When I next came to order quite some time later I saw it still hadn't been resolved. It is simple enough to arrange in terms of the postal system, so I can only think the company simply doesn't want to have the hassle anymore. If it's that they can't afford to offer it free anymore they should say that, and I would respect the honesty. Instead, there's what feels like a lip service 'explanation' and no resolution.

For a place that prides itself on ethical standards this is short-sighted. And when I emailed querying this I got no response.

Just tried the whole beef fillet. It arrived on time, perfectly boxed as always, and expertly prepared for immediate roasting. And what an absolutely exceptional piece of meat. There are no words to adequately describe the quality and flavour.

Yes, it’s expensive but you get what you pay for. We have tried all the alternatives and none are even close to the Ethical Butcher. So we eat less meat but of a far superior quality.

Really easy to order and posted quickly. I like being able to choose my own delivery date. Some of the items had short expiry dates though and it would have been useful to have this flagged so as not to miss it. Otherwise, I recommend the Ethical Butcher to everyone I know who wants to source their meat more ethically.
