"Stratford Sprint Triathlon 2024"

Attended Stratford Triathlon on Sunday 28th April. Despite the terrible weather, rain, rain, rain the event was very well organised as always and the marshals were fantastic despite the weather. Results were out very promptly, if not as good as I would have hoped. Would have liked to have seen this event BTF permitted.

"Friendly Marshals"

Pretty well organised, fairly well signed, friendly helpful marshals.

Confused with swim times, I had a faster swim time than others who started before me, I had considerable congestion in the pool to start and was quite held up for the first half of the swim.

The start of the bike course was ver congested and the diversion for cars due to roadworks meant I was stuck behind a bus and caravan who were behind slower cyclists for about 4km, it was very frustrating.

The muddy start to the run course was awful and it definitely wasn't ideal to do it a second time. I definitely preferred the old run course. It was confusing as to where the lap ended too.

"Amazing team and marshals "

Stratford triathlon had horrendous wet and cold weather, despite this the marshals and event team were amazing. Very supportive, organised and helpful.
The demo the evening before was really helpful, this was my first triathlon and all my nerves melted away after taking to the team.
Really enjoyed this event and can't wait to do more!

Stratford Upon Avon Triathlon- a well organised event. Couldn’t do much about the weather. All information and communication was timely.

"First triathlon at almost 50 ;) "

Attended my first ever triathlon in Stratford on Sunday. Despite the awful weather the whole day was amazing. Full credit to everyone who took part and a huge cheer to all the Marshalls and helpers who stood all day in the rain to direct us and cheer us on . Fabulous experience ;)

"Stratford Triathlon"

Despite the atrocious weather the UK Triathlon team did a fantastic job on Sunday organizing yet another memorable event. This one will be remembered for the 6 degree temperatures and driving rain which is why I must commend all the hardy volunteers and marshalls who braved the weather to enable all the Triathletes to take part ... great work !!!

"Truly Fantastic EVENTS!"

I was unsure what to expect as 2024 Stratford Triathlon was my First Triathlon and my first with UKTriathlon. All I have is 2 words ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! All people friendly, helpful and supportive. VERY WELL organized. I am so glad, as I have entered 5 other UKTriathlon Events this year. I am so looking forward to them. Well done and my heartfelt thanks to the entire team who made me feel so welcome.

"Well organised event"

Well organised event. Everything exactly as stated in pre race mails. Only thing I would have changed was the rain. Even that was fun once it got going.

One complaint was the run route. Started and ended in a mud bath, which was treacherous with road shoes on. Last year, the run was a different route, with no muddy course. It’s been a wet Spring, could the route have been altered back? Not sure, but all was good in the end.

There needed to be matting down on the area between the run start/finish and the tarmac path.

"Money money money"

Thank goodness as a coach my affiliation fees are paid by my club.
No contact, just a reminder each year for money, which is over three times the cost of England Athletics affilation.
Courses, events, education, club affiliation, all far more in cost yet less in satisfaction.Lots of hoop jumping to achieve some things but little in the way of development or anything to show for any outlay-smoke and mirrors.
