I signed up for a free trial with vidIQ, but was charged on the final day of the trial — before I had a proper chance to cancel. Despite reaching out immediately, my initial refund request was refused, which is disappointing and out of step with UK consumer rights (which include a 14-day cooling-off period for digital services).
Only after escalating and referencing legal protections was the refund granted — and while I appreciate the eventual resolution, the process felt unnecessarily rigid and dismissive. It's also worth noting that many of the platform’s features are available via free alternatives, making it hard to justify the subscription cost.
If you're signing up for a trial, keep a close eye on your billing date — and don't expect a smooth cancellation experience if you’re unhappy with the platform.

Operation no marketing bullshit means that all year long and from now on, anytime a company says the app is free, and then low and behold wowy wow wow it's actually not, boom, instant 1 star review.
It's almost as if you shouldn't lie to trick people to join.

I have been using VidIQ for about a year and a half. I am noticing that when they recommend a keyword with a value, that value never matches the value YouTube show. I am also see errors in the statical reporting. I posted a short video on YouTube 4 hours ago showing 19 view and VidIQ shows no views. If I can use the keyword help and the statics don't why should I think their site is worth using. I am thinking they need to get their stuff together. It does not even list why to contact them to ask them this question on the extension or theie website.

Not what they advertise, AI technology is at basic level, there are more advance ones for less money. if you cancel your annual membership NO REFUND !!

nothing cool about this, it was offered free from it's homepage, but as soon as I enter my cc detail, oh, it charged me and told me it's non-refundable. if I still see charges on my card, I will strike them with chargeback, future. their keyword tools are generally fake, trash, type in any random keywords and they will source you result with hundred thousands of search, but if you extract it, say that very long tail keyword, that have hundrend thousands of searches as a seed keyword, you get nothing, yes, you get nothing, it's empty. hype, fake. regret listening to all the "recommendation" from the net, I was tricked into it as a paid customer, but got nothing value from it.

Decidí comprar la opción de generación ilimitada de miniaturas en VidIQ porque parecía una buena oferta. Sin embargo, después de un tiempo me encontré con una limitación inesperada: solo permite generar 200 miniaturas.
Pensé que sería un error, así que contacté con atención al cliente. Para mi sorpresa, me confirmaron que efectivamente hay un límite, pero que sigue siendo ilimitado según ellos. Lo peor es que admitieron que en ningún lado de su página mencionan esta restricción, y cuando les pregunté por qué no lo aclaraban, me dijeron que “no tienen la capacidad” de hacerlo.
Como desarrollador, sé perfectamente que lo difícil es implementar la limitación, y que lo más fácil del mundo sería mostrar en pantalla el número real de miniaturas disponibles. Si no lo hacen, es porque están ocultando deliberadamente la información para engañar a los usuarios y hacerles creer que están comprando algo que en realidad no existe.
Esto no es un simple malentendido, es publicidad engañosa. No caigan en la trampa, VidIQ no es transparente con sus clientes y claramente no les importa ofrecer lo que prometen

"I cannot recommend Vidiq"
I cannot recommend Vidiq. As soon as I registered, I was constantly bombarded with emails. Eventually, I decided to try one of their offers – but in the end, it seems like their main goal is simply to get you to spend more money.
I tested their software and optimized several videos, but there was no noticeable improvement. Instead, I was then offered a coach – of course, for an additional fee. It feels like their priority is not to genuinely help users but to push them into making more purchases.
The features they offer are also unreliable. For example, their software is supposed to suggest relevant images for videos, but in practice, it hardly works. If I upload a dance image, it might be ranked higher at first, then suddenly downgraded. And when I search for a suitable image, the system might suggest something completely irrelevant, like a karate fighter. Similarly, text and ratings seem to be randomly boosted or downgraded without clear reasoning.
One of the emails I received perfectly sums up their strategy:
"Perhaps the most frustrating part of being a creator is looking at your channel and not knowing what to do next to grow. You likely have ideas of what to try, but which idea is the best one? And why didn’t your idea last week actually change anything on your channel like you hoped?"
Instead of providing real support, they exploit users' insecurities to drive more sales. If you're looking for honest and effective solutions, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
