"The Portsea Navy....a collector's opinion."

The Portsea is a fine example of the craft of Horology.
I love the 3D layered ceramic dial although I would have liked a brighter Blue simply because I like bright colours. The dial design & layout is functional & aesthetically pleasing.
The case finish is polished & one can see the attention to detail that has gone Into this Australian designed watch.
The Miyota calibre 9122 high beat was a wonderful choice. There are very few engines that offer the triple calendar option as an automatic movement. Most are Quartz.
I believe Melbourne watch co. regulate all the movements in house. The result is an accurate timepiece that I have not had to adjust in the few weeks that I've owned it.
The flat Sapphire crystal glass is highly scratch resistant & has a clear anti reflective coating.
The leather band is strong, soft & comfortable with appropriate logo on the buckle. All in all, I cannot fault this Aussie made watch.....makes me proud.

I visited the MWC showroom last year while on a trip to Melbourne and saw the wide variety of exciting options available. The staff were friendly and helpful, and while I didn't buy at the time as it wasn't in the budget, I had to jump in when their EOFY sale kicked in. Great website interface, good communication with an update at each stage and super fast delivery. As for the watch itself, I admit I didn't love it until I saw the cushion case in person. Now it sits proudly among the collection. As any great watch purchase goes, it's only a matter of time before I'm back for another. Buy with confidence!

Package could be packed in bigger box with the soft package filler, and watch should be secured and tied with a loop to a pillow and placed in the hole in the middle of the inner box to make sure it will not fly around during the transport.
Apart of that, everything was fine, watch is lovely, and seller was helpful.
