My partner had one of the worst driving experience ever. We booked a block lesson of 20 hours and clearly indicated with wanted the lessons in Lichfield . The driver we got allocated Sabu had repeatedly told us he can do more hours in Burton but can’t come to Lichfield . He made it look like he was doing us a favour, although we had paid for the service. He continuously told my partner he might not be giving his car for the test, making her feel uncomfortable and not interested. She complained several times but we had already paid the block hours so I insisted until we found a new driver with LDC, better service and much better instructor. With Sabu we had to be forced to do her training in Burton instead of Lichfield because it suits him. I asked him why he had agreed to do the lessons from Bill plant and had no good reasons . We tried calling Bill plant during our working breaks and had no response for a while .

Have been driving with David Brown and Today i passed my test on my first go. Every lesson was enjoyable and he’s been so helpful and supportive. Couldn’t fault anything.

I was very nervous to start driving and thought I really wasn’t cut out for driving manual. My first taster letting with Kevin McEvoy was amazing! I felt very comfortable in the car with him and felt no pressure whatsoever. I did 37 hours with Kevin from September to April and passed my test first time! I loved every second learning with him and feel that I definitely couldn’t have done it without him and his constant support. Couldn’t recommend Bill Plant, and more specifically Kevin, more for learning to drive!

"Rude and arrogant instructors."

Hands down one of the worst driving lesson experiences I’ve had. I’ve got plenty of driving experience and only needed a new instructor after moving areas. I made it very clear from the start that I wasn’t a beginner — yet the instructor still took me to a quiet nursery area like it was my first time behind the wheel.

He spent most of the lesson badmouthing my previous instructor, constantly forcing his way of doing things instead of actually helping me progress. The vibe was completely off — not friendly, not chill, and he wouldn’t stop talking the entire time. It felt like he was more interested in lecturing me than actually teaching.

A total waste of two hours and my money. If you’ve already got experience, avoid Bill Plant — especially if you’re expecting a lesson that’s actually about you.

Brilliant driving school, helped me a lot to pass my driving test and get ready to go out on my own, my instructor (Janet Standing) was amazing and helped me with everything i needed and was overall a brilliant instructor so i couldn’t thank you enough.
