Super art work by Dan Goozee. The art work of Christopher Reeve is outstanding.The art work on this first release UK quad poster for Superman IV: the quest for peace is better than the movie. Because cut backs on the budget for the picture. Warner brothers gave Cannon film company 36 million to make Superman IV but used 17 million on Superman 4 and the rest of the money on a masters of the Universe movie and a Spiderman film that wasn’t made. I love Superman 4 even though the special effects are terrible and it was filmed in Milton Keynes. Which doubled for Metropolis. It was filmed there because that location was only 1 hour drive away from Elster studios for additional filming. I remember on very hot day in late July I was walking down Solihull highstreet with my mum and a family friend Deirdre. I saw the very quad poster in the Solihull picture house window displayed well the Superman4 quad poster displayed on an easel. The same quad that purchased from the outstanding Original poster. We saw a huge queue of people waiting in eager anticipation for superman 4. The queue went from the Solihull cinema all the way to Drury lane. My sisters and brother mum and mums friend couldn’t and I couldn’t believe are eyes. Deirdre our friend said she couldn’t believe people queueing to see a film on such a hot sunny day. The first time I saw was 3 years later in 1990 I rented it from Grange video library on Dove house parade in Olton Solihull. I enjoyed it but thought the effects from a 1987 film weren’t very good and no where near as good as Superman the movie even 9 years prior to superman4. Super man 4 is my guilty pleasure. Thanks Original poster for outstanding service. I’m really happy with the Superman4 quad. I will recommend any movie collector to shop at your fantastic original poster shop.Thanks again.
